Love this place!! Very cozy place to enjoy a traditional British meal or to have a few pints of Guinness. Its a very homey feel. Tons of British relics and pictures all over the walls. I spent as much time looking at A few suggestions: For apps- the sausage rolls are delicious! Its a banger in a wonderfully flaky puff pasty served with spicy mustard. Scotch Eggs! Its a hard boiled egg inside a sausage and breading crust. Served with a sort of vinegar BBQ sauce. Entree- I got the Steak and Kidney pie. Its shredded steak and chopped (lamb?) kidneys. The kidneys taste very similar to liver. If youve ever had chicken liver- the taste and texture are very similar. The taste is very unique. Not everyone is going to like it. I thought it was great! Desert. Do not leave without getting the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I repeat. Do not leave without trying the Sticky Toffee Pudding. You HAVE to get it with the custard. Dont order it with ice cream, get the custard!! Its a deliciously moist sponge cake. It has a subtle hint of ginger and spice. Perfect for cool weather! The custard and warm and gooey and creamy. Im telling you, dont leave without trying it. The staff were all very friendly, very cheery, very nice. Its worth mentioning that they poured perfect pints of Guinness. You know those stock photos that you see on websites that advertise their drinks? Every pint that I was served could have easily been in anyone of those advertisements. They were poured right to the very lip of the glass with not the smallest amount of space left in-between the head and the lip, more importantly, and without a drop spilled. We loved the place so much that we came back on the second day of our visit to St. Augustine. Ill be back again on my next trip!!

Walked in around 7 pm, 1 couple at the bar and one guy chatting with the waitress.. seemed like a friend, wasnt greeted by anyone, it was very quiet, no music, no t.vs nothing, it was dimly lit, wasnt told the sunday special until i asked about it, after we already ordered.. then the no name waitress decided to tell us that usually they sell out but they didnt today because they werent busy..(another couple came in and she told them about the special and mentioned that they only had two portions left) brought food, no silverware, refilled empty glass with watered down coke from a pitcher not the tap. Steak and kidney pie was more like kidney pie, the side of beans came in a condiment size dish. Ordered dessert to go, the sticky toffee pudding with custard(because they didnt have any icecream) was really good, but we asked that both that and the blackberry pie be served with custard and it wasnt. On the way out there was no thank you or bye or anything. gave us the receipt and left. Drove up from Tampa with my Scottish grandma, we both left very disappointed. Would not recommend this place even though the website makes it look awesome and lively..

Went in once for their "famous fish and chips" and what we got was prepackaged frozen fish, greasy tasteless battered fish. Went in a second time for their "Sunday roast, fried potato and Yorkshire pudding. What we got was cold meat that was tough and chewy, cold veggies and burnt potatoes. The yorkshire was not any better as it was a big fluff crust with maybe a teaspoon full of actual yorkshies at the bottom. Its a great place if you have no other food to compare this by and therefore do not know how it is meant to really be. Or if you just want a beer. Thought I was going to get lucky and find a good place that is closer but what I found was a huge disappointment. If you are unfamiliar with good food then by all means go there. Me? Never again as well as all the others that were with me. BUT! the wait staff was not bad.

The food was okay, the service was horrible. The waitresses didnt pay attention to us and we were the only customers. We had to get up from our table and adk for coffee and the bill. We were surprised they didnt ask us to get our own meals from the kitchen. We left the tip, we taught was appropriate for the lack of service. Than the old lady demanded us to pay 15% for tip because, according to her " they only get paid minimum wage" and the tip is their real income. She actually would hunt us done in the parking lot and demanded us to change the tip amount. Well, it is good we came over from Europe to visit so we can support poor waitresses whom think they are entitled to others money without having to do any work. What a rip off and dishonest people. St. Augustine has many other restaurants where you will be treated with respect.

Meh. The young bartender with unfortunate painted on jeans that maybe fit 40lbs & a baby ago took our order at & it went down from there. We never saw her at our table again until she dropped off the check looking for her tip. After long wait, only 1/2 our order came out via food runner. I took first bite of my Cottage Pie & it was ice cold. Told food runner about it & she took it back. Also explained to food runner that our appetizer never came. She carried my food back & yelled something in kitchen. She soon came back with my food properly microwaved hot. Halfway through meal, appetizer finally arrived. My water ran out, so I had to carry my empty glass to our "waitress" & ask for more. Overall, horrible service & not worth the long drive to get here from the beach hotels. Newcastle can be found anywhere.

went in on Friday had a brew and chips, they were pretty good so went in on Saturday for fish and chips, chips good fish was frozen cod not fresh and very greasy, figured wed give them a second chance and went in on sunday for the roast special, roast beef was mostly grizzle and was cold as well as the string beans and carrots were cold. potatoes were burnt as was the Yorkshire pudding. the service was great each time. good place for a brew and to throw some steel tip darts and maybe have some chips to snack on but otherwise I wouldnt return. its worth the extra 5 miles and pay to park in a lot in downtown st Augustine for an authentic british pub experience

Atmosphere- Spot On Food- Amazing! Service- Very good Went here for an early birthday lunch on the way to St. Augustine. Husband found it because I lived in Yorkshire for a year and knew that Ive had a hard time finding a genuine pub that I like in the States. From the moment you walk in the door its just like stepping into any little local pub in England. We both enjoyed a pint of Old Speckled Hen and he had the Scotch Egg (very well made) and I had the Cornish Pasty....which was the BEST that Ive ever had outside of Cornwall. You dont want to miss out on this hidden gem!

If you come here go for the bangers and mash or the sausage rolls. Other dishes are just so-so except maybe the cottage pie along with the delicious chips. Really nice setting.... Its a great place away from tourist town St Augustine and the crap hole of Jacksonville. PLEASE watch out for the friendly stray cats in the parking lot!!! Its really a 4 1/2 star place bc the pasty was first burnt and then flavorless... But still.. Give it a visit... Get bangers and mash with a side of chips and its 5 stars. WATCH FOR THE CATS!
