If you are staying at the Safety Harbor Spa or attending an event at the Ruth Eckerd Hall, or heck, just out for a drive and a walk around quaint downtown Safety Harbor, you MUST stop at Tapping The Vine and enjoy this charming tapas and wine spot. The wine menu is extensive. Laura, the friendly co-owner/ SOMMELIER has no wines like anyone else and certainly none that are found on a grocery shelf. The amazing thing is she has 10 superior red wines by the glass-starting at just $6/glass for a generous 5 oz pour. I had a lovely Spanish Garnacha. The tapas are delightful. I had the goat cheese trio and the tenderloin kabobs. Divine. If you love chocolate, please treat yourself to the chocolate granache desert. OMG. I signed up for the wine tasting/pairing on May 19. Treat yourself and visit this delightful, NO TV, spot. Dining outside and inside.

Found this quaint little place by accident, when I was taking my mother to another restaurant in the area that had closed. The exterior of the building reminded me of the French Quarter, in NOLA. We walked in an was immediately greeted by the owners with such warmth and family like attitudes. They told us to walk around and find a perfect spot to sit, which we did. The relaxed ambiance was that of a cozy warm living room, surrounded by an amazing selection of wine to please any palette. We started off with the fresh crab cakes and followed that with the P.E.I. Spanish style Mussels. Fresh, full of flavor and the day was a memory to last a lifetime. Came in not knowing what to expect, but left feeling like family.

Google information has this listed as a wine bar. Their information seems quite outdated, since Tapping The Vine is an incredible restaurant with delicious food. Think Fine Dining in a casual atmosphere. For a starter, try the Lobster & Shrimp Cake, and then move on to the Mocha Chipotle Crusted Lamb for a stellar experience. The wines may not be names you are used to finding, but they are as great as the food. Try a flight to experience 3 different wines at a time...or get a fabulous wine with help from the friendly, knowledgeable staff.

My friend and I recently went to Tapping The Vine. What a delight! I love the wine selections and the reasonable prices. The food was great. We tried several items, since they do many tapas dishes. Macaroni Balls are to die for! Their scallops are delicious, too, and melt in your mouth. Ill be bringing my boyfriend back to test their beers, because they have a lots of choices. A must do in Safety Harbor!

They have lovely outdoor seating but will not let you sit at a table if youre just having drinks, even though their drinks average $10 a glass. We dropped over $80 for 2 drinks each in one hour but were not allowed to sit at one of the empty outside tables with an umbrella. Too snooty for us.

Tori and the Staff were amazing! The atmosphere and food were divine. We sat outside on the patio for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Compliments to the Chef, I cut my filet with a butter knife! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We have a marvelous server she gave us lots of information on what to get to eat . Wine was spectacular food was small Portions . The bill was high but I enjoyed the time I spent with a good friend there and yes I will be back . Fantastic Wine

Service here is great. Tapas were delicious and the wine definitely hit the right marks. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the emptiness of the restaurant. Its still nice to have the place to yourself I guess

Amazing beer selection, wine selection, food was terrific. Beef carpaccio, bruschetta trio, sauteed cauliflower, and champagne cheddar pasta was to die for. Will definitely come back for more. Our server Laura was excellent.
