Caffe Italia is a great Italian restaurant, but worth the price. We were greeted with a smile and good conversation from the start and made to feel very welcome. There is no alcohol menu, but they do allow bring your own wine for a small corkage fee (unless you bring your own glasses, then the fee is waived). The prices for the items vary from $10 to $25 a plate. The food we received was very flavorful, presented well and the portion size was enough for two, unless you are a very big eater. You definitely get a good value for your money, considering the quality and quantity of the food. The only criticism I would give the restaurant is that it should have some music playing to fill in the dead spots in conversation and to allow privacy between tables. It was very quiet in the restaurant aside from some small kitchen noises. This would also give the restaurant a bit more atmosphere and fulfill the already wonderful experience. Overall, try Caffe Italia, it is great for a date night, or for a group of friends looking for a great atmosphere and wonderful food...you wont be disappointed!

We went here based on a recommendation from friends. The food was excellent and the portions were large. The service was also very good. Everyone was happy with their meals. As others have stated they do not serve any alcohol, but they let you bring your own. I asked the server about this and he stated that their previous location was in Ybor City for 15 years and they had a full liquor bar and they eventually wanted something quieter. My only downside is that the inside is not appealing at all. The dining area is small and is very bland with nothing on the walls except for a few painting on one wall. If we were not told to come here by friends we probably would have walked out and not eaten there based on the looks alone, but we were glad we didnt because the food was great. The place just needs a make over.

I N C R E D I B L E - I dont know how to say how great it is! My husband told me Caffe Italia is owned by the same man who owned the Laughing Cat in Ybor City years ago. They even will make "old menu items" at request. My husband used to love eating the "Crazy Chicken" so that is what he had last night. I had Chicken Yolanda!!!! O.M.G!!! So glad we drove from Sarasota to Apollo Beach! DEFINITELY worth it. Its a small little place in a strip mall. PHENOMENAL! Oh YES I did notice the dust and the place does need sprucing up, however when the food is THIS GOOD, I obviously overlooked all of this!!!!! I swear it sounds crazy, but Ive never had better Italian food in my life. It would give 10 stars just like it is!

I have eaten here several times and every time is simply amazing. The quality of the food is far above anything else locally. The chef knows how to hit every flavor type in one dish. It is expensive but when you consider the ingredients used, quality of the food, and generous portion sizes it is all worth it. My favorite dish is the Chicken Yolanda but every thing Ive ever had is delicious! It is BYOB but bring your own glasses too so you dont pay a corking fee. I will say, the ambiance is lacking for the price and quality of the food, but it is very clean. I would normally drop a star for the price and quality being incomparable to the ambiance but the food is way too good to drop it a star!

Terrible! Was 5 min late and they denied my reservation Ive been a long time customer since laughing cat days when they were in the small place. I made a bad complaint of their Facebook page and their social media expert did nothing but pull my LinkedIn profile pic and make fun of me. Seems like a restaurant that needs businesses would have a better handle on their social media so called "expert" Instead of ridiculino a customer over social media. Ive seen more class in and 8th grade graduation party. You have lost a long time customer forever and hundreds of referrals.

wonderful service and wonderful food. Only thing wrong is there was an incredibly rude customer that was speaking very loudly, and then would scream at my child whenever my child would talk. Some nasty old woman with zero tolerance for kids. My child is very well mannered and was not loud. The bitchy lady was speaking so loud it was deafening. I do agree they should play music in there to provide for some more privacy during conversations since the room is small and tables are rather close together. Otherwise, the food and servers are superb!

F&Js Caffe Italia is a great place to eat. I when there last weekend and they prepare a delicious food for us, all fresh and with an exquisite flavor. The fish was excellent and an egg plant parmigiana so delicious. Cappuccino and special dessert. To go we bring home an special Veggie pizza (Mama mia!!!) They know how to cook Italian food... price affordable and the attention was excellent. I recommend this restaurant to visitors and locals. Congratulations Riverview. Florida you get a piece of Italy in your Plaza.

This place has the most increadible Italian food. The Priciple and Chef uses only the best and freshest ingredients. As mentioned pricing is slightly higher than that of the chain restaraunt but your getting your moneys worth in quality and portions. It is a cozy atmosphere with a small number of tables. Each dish is made fresh, dont expect to get it in 10min. True Italian dinning is an event not a fuel stop. If you like Italian food make a reservation, you wont be disappointed.

Not worth the money. The place looks makeshift, the walls need paint and a new floor and the makeshift walls between patrons and customers leaves you to hear what the cooks and waiters are talking about. Especially since their loud. The food is ok. Nothing to rave about. We ordered lasagna, the frozen lasagna at Sams club taste just as good and half the price. More than likely we will not be back. Wish it. Was better an Italian restaurant is needed in this area.

The food is great but Franco Lore is a horrible crook. He swindled me out of $36,000. He should have never been granted citizenship. He has no honor and will eventually one day die and I will spit on his grave. He lies to everyone around him. He calls himself a businessman but hes just an anti semitic jerk. Franco, if youre reading this, its never to late to make things right. But youve made absolutely no attempt to pay me back. Youre disgusting.

I was shocked with how it looked on the inside. It looked so bland with white walls, a make shift barrier wall to hide kitchen area and 16 tables. We were greeted very friendly as we walked in but then forgotten and their were only 2 other families there. We ended up walking out when we saw the menu and prices. Not at all what we were hoping for. A little paint on the walls would go a long way in the ambiance and character of the place.

Overpriced, charged $9.50 for a kids meal and $4.50 for a kids beverage. Wow, very good idea for them not to have a kids menu printed. I will never go back. $9 for 2 iced teas, really?!? The food is okay, but not worth the price or the atmosphere. I waited 15 minutes for bread. The lasagna was lukewarm and dripping off the plate. I dont mind eating at fine dining restaurants, but you cant charge that price in a strip mall.
