At one point in time I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars, but after today my opinion of them has made a complete turn around. I eat there on a regular basis and never spend less than $30 on food. I USUALLY over-love the food but this particular day the ackee and salt fish breakfast was nothing short of below par. I didnt discredit them, because everyone is entitled to have a bad day in the kitchen especially home cooked food. I simply went back to exchange it for a small oxtail plate. (Same price, mind you) the chef came from the back to argue over how if I am particular about how my food is prepared then I shouldnt order it. Made no sense to me whatsoever because, Ive ordered the same breakfast there before and LOVED IT. Otherwise I would not be back for the umpteenth time. Needless to say with us bickering back and forth and him taking criticism personal he refused to replace the meal and refunded my money saying I wont like the oxtail either. So because of his childish, unorthodox behavior I requested a refund for everything instead. If my money is not welcome enough for him to just replace my food then NONE OF MY MONEY WILL BE CONTRIBUTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT. I am Jamaican and maybe thats how things run back home but not here in the states.

I was visiting the area caring for my dad, who had the flu. The first thing he asked for once his appetite returned was a dish from Jerk City. I rushed over, excited that they had exactly what he needed; even an hour before they were scheduled to close. Much to my dismay, the service was HORRIBLE!! The lady at the register walked away when I walked in, and when she returned, she was dry and sarcastic as if I were begging her to take my money! Their prices are competitive and you get a lot of food for the same price other restaurants are charging but Dad reported that the taste of food was subpar this time. I would rather get a smaller plate at an establishment that appreciates my business. I will avoid returning at all costs.

Amazing authentic Jamaican food. So sad Ive lived up here for so long and didnt try this place sooner. We LOVED the food. its really mostly a take out place, they have a few little tables but its extremely hot in there. Prices arent cheap but you get a ton of food. We got the jerk pork, ox tail and a few beef patties and it was all amazing! Everything comes with the rice made with coconut milk with peas and cabbage and its amazing. Went to Jamaica 2 Years ago and this place was exactly the same. Really brought me back to possibly the most amazing island in the world. Do not let the appearance stop you. The people were friendly and you get your food fast! Youll love this place!

Very. Very rude. I never Google review but I had to. Ordered by phone. Could barely understand what they said. Then they started a fight when they gave me food. I DID NOT EVEN ORDER. Nicely explained I only ordered two things and They started an argument. A simple misunderstanding which could have not been a big deal but they were confrontational. I will never order here again and I will let all my friends and family know too. Brighten up and try to smile. Dont pick fights with the Customer. Felt very uncomfortable. Will never go again

I guess we went too early in the morning (11:45) because the food was not fresh and had the same old refrigerated and recooked aftertaste/taste to it and to top it off, the food was cold. I love oxtails and jerk chicken and had been searching for a couple of days for a place that served them, was passing through and came upon the restaurant and reviews so we decided to stop. We were very disappointed, the food went in the garbage... $26 down the drain! Would never return or recommend to anyone. Poor/fair is an understatement!

Jerk City is a amazing place my father used to work their he said they always have a clean kitchen and the owner Jimmy is the coolest boss ever and from my point of view all the items their have the perfect price and you if have been on the road for the longest time and you are hot and sweating you can stop by sit down have a nice cool drink (I prefer a tall can of coconut water) sit down watch so sports order some food and distress and be calm so what I am trying to say is stop by and let your taste buds go wild.

Bad service. Bad food. I have NEVER been treated so rudley as a customer. I cannot believe they run a business that way. I seriously left speechless from the way they treated me. Then went home to eat awful food. They were argumentative for no reason. It takes a lot to upset me. But They did a great job. Not worth the time. Money. Or frustration. Change the Friday night staff ASAP and you might be able to keep business

Go to place for island food for over 25 years while living in Port St Lucie. Ideal snack ginger beer and beef pattie; lunch any boneless MINI jerk portion; dinner for one, any SMALL portion especially oxtail or akee and saltfish. LARGE portions serve 2 ... especially if its hurricane season and theres no overnight refrigeration for leftovers

The people working there always look like their pissed off, cant bother to smile, say hello or thank you. I kept going back because I enjoyed their beef patty and cocoa bread but this time around the bread was hard and the patties mushy. Between the bad customer service and now the low quality food I have no reason to go back there

Awful. Horrible customer service and food. I never review. But it was THAT BAD. dont want your money or time there are better places in town. Id even take the drive to Stuart before going here again. Mean nasty people running this place. And food is not worth the aggravation

Customer service can make and break your business. The service is awful especially since the lady couldnt open her mouth to say yes or no just nodding like she couldnt talk or someone pissed her off. Any who the food is always good but the service is not all that
