Ive eaten here several times over the last couple years. Whenever we want awesome BBQ we go here. We usually order the combination special which is beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken. It is so much food! My family of 3 eats on the take out for days. Sometimes the slaw and potato salad are good and some days its not. But theyre baked beans are FANTASTIC! The sweet BBQ they use is awesome on all of the above meats. They also make really good onion rings with a nice sauce. I noticed another poster commented about dry BBQ, which I can see... I dont think its as dry as the comment indicates, but for an informed review, Id say it really depends on your tastes. I can sometimes agree on the bad service, but also its not as bad as the poster described. Sometimes you get the really nice waitress and sometimes you get the one having a bad day. But Im also not ruffled easily by these things. I hope my review helped!

I actually used to enjoy going to this place. I dont normally review restaurants, but I had such a horrible experience there that I felt like I had too. The service was so bad, that my family and I actually walked out. I had never walked out of a restaurant before. We had waited more than an hour and a half before getting up (no food ever came). I cant imagine it taking it that long to grill two burgers and fry up some wings. When we walked out, the owners daughter chased after us, but instead of apologizing for such horrible service, she made excuses. I dont care what the excuse is...no one ever came over to even explain the lack of service. They have lost us as customers and we will continue to spread our word to our friends and family. Not to mention, a few weeks prior I had placed a to-go order....pork and mac n cheese was EXTREMELY dry!

My daughter wanted Sonnys BBQ for her baby shower and I cringed because not only is it over priced, the food is not something to write home about. As Ive been the Ozona Pig so many times, I had to find a way to make my daughter happy and allow her to try new journeys with her love for BBQ food. I asked her if she trusted me with the food decisions and after a received a yes, I called my favorite place, Ozona Pig. Bobbi handles all the catering orders and she hit the ball out of the park on this one. Great portions for my buck and the food was "Better than Sonnys, Dad". Thank you Bobbi and thank to the staff who cooked the food and prepared it, so I could pick it up the day before and heat it up the day of the shower. I was nervous about the reheating part but I trusted Bobbi and it worked out great!

Had dinner at OP on 2/24 first time there. Was seated promptly inside with a full view of the interior of the bathroom every time door opened. Server was great and fast with drinks and taking our order of the fresh dixie vegetables with a kick salsa and chips and a tamale for starters along with the slab for 2 rib dinner. The tamale was served looking like a skinless hotdog covered in cheese wiz, (husband said it tasted like bacon bits) and the bland salsa tasted like it came out of a jar with the stale chips. The only saving grace of this experience was the smoked dry rub ribs which were great minus the watery bland BBQ sauce. Our bill came to $57 plus 20 percent tip to the wonderful waitress. We really wanted to like this place. If there is a next time well just do rib take out.

We have been coming here since it opened and it just keeps getting better. Love the service - whats even better is that the owner is ALWAYS there! She is so friendly and sincere - remembers us every time. The food is outstanding. Try the Orange Street salad with steak and the manadarin dressing --- to die for!! LOVE their onion rings and the tamales are insane!! They ship those things in from New Orleans!! Another nice touch is the "toys" they have on-hand for the little ones....whenever asked where she wants to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner, my daugher ALWAYS says "The Pig"! hahaha She loves the collection of horses and the coloring books....makes any night a date night because it actually promotes adult conversation when shes occupied. Highly recommend!!

Im a regular at Ozona Pig and have also eaten at award winning Dreamland BBQ and Big Bob Gibson BBQ in Alabama. I have to say that Bobbie and Chris make some of the best BBQ ever. The pork and brisket are both always super moist, so I dont know where the other reviewers ate. The ribs are some of the best dry rub Ive ever had and as much as I love sauce on my BBQ, these are perfect just plain. If you dont try the banana pudding, you are missing out on some of the best in the South! Be sure to visit and chat with the Ozona locals and check out the funny signs inside while you wait. The authentic Southern tastes of sweet tea, BBQd corn on the cob & beans and deviled eggs will take you back to your roots, even if you are a Yankee!

To that mark guy writing bad reviews. Of your reviews, 36 out of 39 are negative against the restaurants in our area. Do the neighborhood a favor, stay home and die an unhappy person with a TV dinner in your lap. And to the woman claiming to have sat at a table in a restaurant full of people, unserved for an hour and a half. Dont lie. Anybody thats been there knows that not only is your claim impossible, but you have to be some kind of ***** to sit there that long without talking to a manager. To all the Ozona area restaurants, keep up the good work. You guys are doing a tremendous amount of business even in a recession so you must be getting something right.

Ive eaten @ "The Pig" (as my family affectionately calls it) several times. Every time we go, were greeted by the friendly staff and we always feel welcome and comfortable. The food is very good. Im impressed by the "Boss Hog" salad, which is big enough to have for lunch the next day. The portions are quite big and hearty enough to satisfy my hungry husband and his best friend. My daughter says Ms. Bobbie makes "The best hotdogs ever". The homemade banana pudding wraps up our visit perfectly. I highly recommend you take a trip to The Pig for some good people and good food!

Sooooooo... My sis and I spent the day cleaning and making some braised collards with tomatoes and peanuts... We decided to run up to grab some meat at our neighborhood BBQ joint when we then saw that they were closed for the Memorial Day weekend... So we googled to find out where the closest BBQ was and found the Ozona Pig, they were very nice and hooked us up with some great food! I have to say I really liked the BEEF Brisket! Thanks Pig for making our evening even more enjoyable!

First, regarding the users comment about how they waited for an hour and a half for service before leaving. Who waits an hour and a half? If theyre really busy sometimes service can be a little slow, but the food is definitely worth the wait. Every time Ive been here Ive always been treated great and the food is awesome. The brisket is my favorite! Prices are good and so are the portion sizes. I recommend this for bbq to all my friends and family.
