One of the best meals I have encountered. I just finished reading the book "L.A. Son" by Roy Choi, which was a great read and which actually educated me a little bit more about Korean food. We ordered one Dwen Jang Jjigae "Korean traditional bean paste soup" to share because we wanted to ease ourselves into this new adventure. Now, remember that, based on the "Gold" standard (Jonathan Gold), one must visit a restaurant multiple times before making a final assessment, but love at first "taste" overrules such constraining methodologies. When the soup came out, our gracious and awesome server poured it into our bowls because she seemed to fear we might burn ourselves, which I though was kind of her. I dove in right away and when I took the first spoonful of tofu and bean paste soup, I realized how very little I knew of this wonderful cuisine. As I introduced my rice to this glorious soup, I noticed the rice soaking up the soup--as if it felt the same way I did. I ate spoonful after spoonful, but when I saw the kimchi in its little dish, I swung my chopsticks like the Mexican/Russian I am and grabbed a few pieces. I would just eat the kimchi all day if I could; it is the best-tasting thing I have had. I love the combination of the red pepper, ginger, and garlic. I feel in love with it and, even though I am not a kimchi-experienced consumer, I am happy to stop with this restaurant because I love it. All the "banchan" (side dishes) were fresh, flavorful, and could stand on their own. We had to order something else, and we did: the Goon Man Doo (pan fried beef & vegetable dumplings). I want to get straight to the point. They were the best fried dumplings I have eaten, and I do love and know dumplings. Fried correctly, hot, with an even and consistent distribution of protein and vegetables. They had a pleasant crunch on the outside, which gave way to that delicious filling. No doubt we will be back.

Was visiting UCF, and was looking for a local Korean joint to eat at. This is the place. Large portions, delicious banchan, and quality cut meats (not the ground up cheaper cuts) you wont find anywhere else. I got the spicy pork (dwe ji bulgogi), it could have been a bit spicier, but was toned down a bit for my taste. The seafood noodle soup (Jjambong) was definitely tasty!!! Nice firey red broth, it refreshed the soul as you took a sip. Everything is made to order, so sit back relax and enjoy your company. Get an order of the fried dumplings (small is 5, large is 10) the meat inside is flavorful and the filling sauce will compliment it well. I enjoyed it so much, I went twice during my 4 day visit. The second time, I had the mixed rice bowl (Bibimbap) and the red spicy sauce is perfect. Just like my moms. I wish I had taken a few pics, but we were starving both times and the food didnt last long. We ate it all! The American friends that came with me, loved it all. It was their first time, and said it wasnt too spicy or it was just spicy enough (3 different friends). There is a dish for everyone to enjoy.

I lived in Korea for 11years.I tried couple other "famous" Korean restaurant ,such like "Shin Jung Korean Restaurant" "Korean House". I can say Kimchi absolutely is the Best Korean restaurant in Orlando area. Its really small restaurant ,but everything is very fresh, environment is clean ,staff are very friendly & helpful. A good Korean restaurant you can tell from their kimchi & small side dishes . Their kimchi really tasty ,I cant help myself to buy extra big bottle kimchi from them although its a little pricey, but worth it. I almost tried all of their food, never get disappointed .just like it taste in Korea!!! Love it!!

Its a good thing my mom (who is Korean) cant read English well enough to read this review cause I have to say that the food at this place is as good if not better than hers! I stopped in for take out and was kindly helped by an older Korean woman who was very helpful and friendly. The Gal bi and Kim bop were top notch. They were even able to cook me up some Bu Jigae (pancake with kim chi) that I requested that wasnt even on the menu and it was fantastic. If you enjoy great Korean cuisine you will definitely enjoy this place. Take it from someone who grew up on the stuff with an excellent mom who knew how to cook it right!

I am a vegetarian and the only vegetarian option I was presented with was sauted tofu. The picture looked really nice, it was garnished with veggies and seemed like it would make a good meal. I ordered a large serving. I also ordered a cup of tea which I was brought very quickly. I then waited about 20 minutes. When "food" arrived it was sliced. oil soaked slabs of barely heated tofu with a watery soy sauce like liquid with some sad green flecks floating in it. I gave them $20 and said I would never be back.

This food was beyond dank. Ive never had Korean BBQ before and let me tell you, them dudes know how to BBQ. I got the BBQ ribs and the meal came out with the full shebang; rice, bean sprouts, kimchi, pickled cucumbers and potato salad. The ribs were beyond tender and flavorful. The waitress was extremely nice and helped me understand how to properly eat the food, which was very nice of her. Definitely dont sleep on this place if youre looking for some great food.

I absolutely love Kimchi!!! If you like spicy food get the Yook Gae Jang its a great soup/stew and is my personal favorite, if you do not like spicy food try the Bibimbab, Dosolt Bibimbab or Japchae! Those are my absolute favorite dishes there. You also cannot go wrong with a lunch time Dak Bulgogi Box or the Bulgogi box! Appetizers... Mul Man Doo and Kimbob are also great! Bottom line this restaurant is in my favorite for all of central Florida!

A small, but cozy restaurant. A little pricey but well worth the money. The food served here has that authentic Korean taste starting with the appetizers that came with very zesty spice that is a good combination of taste and "hot." The entrees followed suit with equally great taste and very cool presentation. In my case, my dak bulgogi was served on a sizzling skillet, brought to my table by our very attentive waitress.

Went there at lunch, for the first time, and ordered from the menu, not lunch special "bento" boxes. The bento boxes, though, contain enough food to make you full, at a very good price. Food was good, service was adequate and place was nice overall. I highly recommend it! For potential and future visitors, the parking in front of the restaurant is quite small. It is best to park on the parking by the near by plaza.

I eat here all the time. Ive visited with a bunch of different people and they all loved the food as well. It seems super authentic. All of the employees appear to be from Korea as well. They play kpop as background music and they used to have Korean news on the TVs. Unfortunately they only had american TV on the last few times Ive visited. Ive tried over a dozen things from their menu and Ive loved them all.
