I generally don’t write reviews, but not doing so in this case would be a disservice to all who would consider eating at the India Palace. I’m sorry I feel compelled to write this. I live roughly 25 minutes away from this restaurant and have eaten there a number of times in the past. Over the years (since 2000) I’ve seen a decline in quality of food. As a result, I haven’t eaten there for a few years. Recently I decided to give it another shot and I can honestly say it was the worst restaurant food I had ever eaten, or in this case I tasted then threw into the garbage. My intent was to eat in the restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner, but the waiter said they were closing soon to prepare for the dinner seating, so I took my order to go. It’s just as well, the place smells like a damp old basement. I spent $64 on two meals, an appetizer, and dessert but truly speaking I ended paying a fair amount of money for what was without a doubt food destined to be tossed out as garbage. They literally sold me garbage! There can be no other explanation for the condition of the food. Knowing the shelf-life of food, this stuff had to be a couple of weeks old-- maybe older. Three of the dishes had potatoes in them and all of it was a dark brown mush. I have never in my life been served brown potatoes anywhere. When they’re fresh, potatoes are white. Everything we ordered that had dairy in it was sour. On that note, my dessert was sour and it’s supposed to be one of the sweetest items on the menu. Obviously the stuff was very, very old. When you’re expecting to taste something very sweet but instead taste something quite disgusting, your brain grinds its gears trying to figure that one out. Not wanting to deal with the round-trip drive and the hassle of arguing for my money back I’m letting this go as a lesson learned. However, I will never eat at that restaurant again, and I suggest very highly that you don’t waste your time and risk your health as well. I am feeling quite lucky I did not get violently ill eating their food based on the condition of the garbage they sold me. I honestly believe this place needs a visit from the health inspector. I am quite certain they would fail miserably and would be shut down on the spot. Being near Disney, you would think their food would be of higher quality. With that in mind, there are plenty of other food choices in the area where I have been quite pleased. Zero stars. The one star I was forced to select during this review is far too generous.

Its hard to give a full five star to an Indian restaurant . For years we have tried all types of Indian restaurants. If the food was good, then the service or hygiene lacked. The food at india palace was amazing. Our kids ordered the tandoori mixed grilled .. Which was Amazing. I myself ordered the chicken vindaloo and the lamb curry. Both were better than a five star. The service was excellent and atmosphere too, always coming around to check us if we need anything. Very NICE and Classy restaurant, Best Indian food in Orlando.....trust me, I have tried them all. . Favorite dish is the Chicken Korma and lamb pasanda. Lunch specials are under $9.00.I dont usually take the time to rate restaurants unless I find the quality to be truly great. I am glad to say that INDIA PALACE would rate very high among some of the best Indian restaurants that I have been to in the USA .Just wish I lived closer..!!!!!!!

We came in with a party of 12 and were a little apprehensive based on several reviews but we decided to give it a try. Compared to many other Indian restaurants, service was quite slow and took quite some time for our meals to arrive. The young kids were tired and cranky and the delayed food didnt help matter much. The food was decent, nothing i would say spectacular. Prices were ok but we have been to MANY Indian Restaurants across the US and this one could be better with better if they provided more prompt customer service, more frequent attention to customers, and quicker time for food to arrive.

We visited India Palace at least four times in Nov/Dec 15 during our visit to Walt Disney World. We tried a lot of vegetarian/non-veg options like Malai Kofta, Baingan bharta, shahi paneer, lamb rogan josh, etc. which were all extremely delicious. The spices were perfectly balanced and so was the quantity which was well priced. The location of this restaurant is a huge plus point as it is in close proximity to Disney parks. The owner and the manager both attended us really well. We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone for nice Indian food near Disney parks.

India Palace is one of the BEST restaurants my family and I have eaten at. We have eaten Indian food at so many different restaurants around Florida, the United States, and the world. NO OTHER restaurant even comes as close to India Palace in absolutely wonderful food and such lovely service. The owner and his staff make you feel like family. My whole family can never agree on one restaurant but we all agree on India Palace. The buttery, soft garlic naan is a must along with the ever so creamy paneer makhani.

My uncle and our family members had the misfortune to receive terrible service at the hands of staff during labor day weekend. One of them was good but was really overloaded... so much that he forgot to serve us water even after he had shown 20 minutes before ,a place to sit ..!! In the mean time, the other waiter was shouting at an irate customer who presumably had gone thro similar experience..! Thought food brought would compensate that,it turned out be bland and it was served after 35 minutes..

We were in groups , total of 15 people and went there to ask them if they have group deal but before we complete our whole sentence the guy on the front angrily said that whatever is on the menu is fixed and if u want to eat then eat !! I was so mad at that time but later I calm myself but how in the hell someone can talk like that to a customer , that guy has no experience in hospitality and if that behavior continues then I can see that restaurant will be going down very soon !!
