I go down to Florida every year with family. My dad discovered Nonna Maria a few years ago, and since then, Ive kept it on my list of restaurants that must be visited on the annual trip. Nonna Maria is not very big inside - theres a very intimate atmosphere. Yet its not like some small places, where you might feel a bit too cosy with your fellow patrons. There is the hum of conversation and low music. The various wait staff are very attentive; this definitely isnt the sort of establishment where youll be left needing anything. On my last visit, I had eggplant parmesan, a green salad, pommes frites, and creme brulee for dessert. All were excellent. My grandmother was particularly impressed with how they boxed our food to take home. She is very concerned with cleanliness, tidyness, etc., so she loved that the boxes were wrapped in plastic wrap. I also thought this was a good idea given how many items on the menu had sauces, including my eggplant parmesan.

The prix fixe menu at Nonna Marias was like a quick trip to Italy. We selected the salad with filo on a bed of greens with mango and pine nuts. The dressing was tastefully exquisite and served to enhance the salad with a subtle dimension. This was an award winning combination. Our veal piccata was superb and arrived in a large bowl surrounded by swirling mushrooms and artichokes topped with an herbal "flag." Our dessert of chocolate cake was fashionably decadent, petite but not sinful. The cake was moist, fresh, and had an excellent chocolate foundation which was surrounded by insouciant clouds of whipped cream and a slice of fruit. The service was outstanding. We even had the opportunity to congratulate the chef. There are many restaurants in Palm Beach County, but none can match this memorable dining experience. This restaurant is a gem sitting next to the kayaks on Northlake Blvd.

Wow, what a great find!!! This place was recommended by a co-worker who takes his wife here for their special occasions. It turned out to be a great recommendation. The restaurant was filled with a mostly very mature crowd (probably why there arent many online reviews)-- we were probably 30 years younger than most!!! We were lucky they were able to sit us in a table immediately. The restaurant exterior doesnt look like much, but inside you feel as if youre in a café in Europe. The service was great, and the food was delicious. We had the pre-fix menu, a glass of house wine, and spent $75 for two (Which is close to what we spend at Carrabbas/Cheesecake Factory or any other fast food above average chain restaurant).

My wife and I love to eat here each year for my wifes birthday and around once a month throughout the year. The owners have become close friends and we have never had a bad meal ever. The owner has given himself the task of not permitting any dish to be seved, unless first inspected by him..... The restaurant holds about 12 tables and the atmosphere is quiet, but fun. The owners have hired a staff of true culinary proffession and the waiters can always bring out a smile. The owners mission statement, is "Italian Food, with a french twist" Bravo to there success

Not what I expected. The listing said casual and this place was business casual, not just casual. We were not dressed properly (shorts and t shirts), but they allowed us anyway. The wait staff was tremendous...never allowing a glass to go below half full and the food was delicious! The manicotti appetizer was full of flavor and served piping hot. The main course (chicken parmigiana with fresh basil) was delicious and the creme brulee for dessert was to die for. This was our first time here and we greatly and happily recommend it!

Went on a date with my wife and it was fantastic! You can tell that chef wants people to eat well! Set menu was amazing! It is actually the real menu not some off menu thing. We drove by this restaurant for 4 months on the way to the doctors office everyday when I had an issue with my leg. I told my wife that I would take her when my health came back... well, I got healthy again and took her on a nice date. great staff all work as a team! -Thank you all!

We were asked to join friends from Admirals Cove, wed never heard of Nonna Maria. Turns out that most people in the area do........a "strip mall restaurant" in the Palm Beach Gardens area. Staff is lovely and attentive and the building is set up so there are several privateish areas to sit in. Food is quite good. We liked it and will return when having dinner with friends from the area. Only a 20 minute drive from Palm Beach.

The food is consistently good and reasonable priced. You can actual hear your dinner companions too so unlike many other restaurants in the area. The staff if accomodating and well trained another plus. I consider it a neighborhood restaurant because it is comfortable and friendly. But make reservations as it is small.

Not cheap but it was very good. If you are tired of chain restaurants and want a fine meal and quiet atmosphere then this is a great choice. The three of us had spare ribs, chicken parm and cheese ravioli. All were great dishes that we would have again.

My family and I have been enjoying the fine cousine and ambiance of Nonna Marias for many years. We used to visit for special occasions, now we go whenever we want something special. Nonna Marias is the closest thing to Europe in Palm Beach County! Ciao!
