The welcome and the service was spectacular. My wife and I went there for lunch and had the stromboli and spaghetti with meatballs and of course the garlic knots. Everything was special. Their tomato based sauce has a sweet-tangy taste that is unique and very enthralling. The crust on the stromboli was perfect. Not too doughy, but doughy enough. Crispy on the outside, but not burned. The attention we received was just right even though the restaurant was very busy. We enjoyed it so much, that when our son and his wife joined us during this trip to Mt. Dora, this is where we took them for lunch the next day. That outing we ordered the 2 medium pizza special as well as another stromboli. We are such Italian food lovers (and crusty Italian food specifically) that we have our own wood burning pizza oven at home, so when I tell you that their crust was spectacular, you can believe it was. Their Italian red wine was very good and complimented their pasta dishes well. We will definitely make Pizzamore a must visit locale every trip we make to Mt. dora from now on.

Our hostess at the B&B we stayed recommended a number of restaurants with this one as one of her favorites. We werent sure what we wanted and walked around town and some of the neighborhoods and found ourselves by PizzaAmore, so we decided that it sounded good. The restaurant is on the small side, but not crowded (appears to be more carry out business than dine in - and it was on a Monday). The waitress was very nice and helpful. The price were very reasonable, we split their Monday night special (large salad and 14" 2 topping pizza). Salad was ok, kinda normal. But the pizza... it was outstanding! The crust was perfect and I think the sauce was one of the best, if not THE best that I have ever had. I wasnt really thrilled with having pizza in another town, but it was a great choice and I would go again.

Light up Mt. Dora night. Horrible customer service by multiple members of the wait staff. Asked for water in conjunction with a 2 pizza order and was basically laughed at for some reason unbeknownst to me. Asked for crayons for the child... Was told they did not have any... Found some by the hostess stand. I think, on their busiest night ever, they should attempt to make their business as inviting as possible, especially in the current economy. Just horrendous. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this establishment in good conscience. Side note, food was excellent, so... Maybe get take out...

We got a white pizza the spinach Fresca it had about a cup of grease in the box and the pizza was extremely soggy. There was garlic knot oil all over the bag. The chicken picatta was not like traditional picatta it was very bland and un appetizing. Service was nice in take out and manager gave full refund with no questions asked. Maybe just an unlucky experience. Very disappointing. Also when we called they did not let us know there was a special for pizza buy 1 large get 1 large for free and I would have gotten that in a second.

My husband and I had dinner last night at PizzAmore. We had the supreme pizza which had pepperoni, ham, sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms on it. The pizza was delicious – it had a crunchy crust and all of the ingredients were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes on the menu which looked amazing as they were coming out of the kitchen such as the stromboli, salads, flatbreads and desserts.

Great food, great service and awesome prices! The restaurant is in a home from the 1920s that was refurbished and absolutely beautiful! You can sit at a table inside, the bar or outside. The owner personally waits on the customers and is very personable and warm. My first experience was a great one! I will be back again for sure. Good reason to support small business.

The pizza and food is decent but the service has a lot to be desired. Its sad when I have to ask for a Pepsi twice and then have to walk up with my empty cup to have it refilled, ( only two other couples in the establishment) someone finally checked on our table and it was not even our waitress not sure where she took off to!!

Very good food, staff was friendly and attentive. We had a horrible experience with Big Apples Piza and wings the night before so it was such a relief to find such great food with good prices. Definitely recommend stopping in and then walk around Main Street, The shops are amazing and Gilbert park is amazing a

This place is a gem! the food is wonderful. We intended to have pizza as many have told us about it, but when seeing other trays of food being served I had to try the meatball sub and my wife tried the eggplant dinner. Its a busy place and can get a bit crowded but well worth it.

The best gluten free pizza Ive ever had! The crust actually tastes like real dough instead of crispy cardboard like every other pizza place. The staff is always friendly and helpful, too. My personal favorite is the Greek Goddess pizza, but all their specialty pizzas are amazing.

Good food, friendly staff, BUT I asked for extra sauce after spending almost $40 on carryout and they practically chased me out the door asking for $2 for the sauce. Nickel and diming your customers is not the way to get repeat business. Ill just go to Mellow Mushroom next time

Well the sauce tasted good. We got a pizza with sausage mushrooms and peppers and there were very few tiny pieces on the entire pizza! Terrible. Spoke to the manager and a couple days after for another one. The exact same! Only a couple pieces had no cheese at all! Terrible!

Small and very quaint restaurant. I went on the night of light up Mount Dora. It was very busy but even then the wait time wasnt bad approximately 20 minutes for our party of six. The wait staff is extremely friendly and the pizza very delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

Weve tried it, and tried it, and tried it again, hoping that the bad experience was just a fluke: It wasnt. None of us (myself, wife, kids) liked it, at all. Im glad the majority of reviewers seem to enjoy it, but the pizza was just plain awful to us. Will not be returning.

Great food and great service. Happened to come when they were slow, so it wasnt hard to be seated. Got to try the Greek Goddess pizza as well as the Bruschetta Knots. Both excellent choices if you come. The Bruschetta Knots are slightly sweet, but still a wonderful taste.

The best dining experience Ive had in ages! Love the adorable setting, family atmosphere, wonderful staff, and absolutely delicious food. Enjoyed several different dishes, including the tastiest wings ever – accompanied by "sloppy". Not to be missed!
