Headed to Vagabond Kitchen and Bat for a little Miami Spice action. I liked the vibe and the music; its sort of an older 50s/60s vibe, due to the attached motel. The Miami Spice menu had several options, and they were very good about a friends food allergy, which is nice. I had the sea food options, octopus and red snapper. The snapper was phenomenal, with a crispy crust and served over sauteed peppers. The octopus was just okay--good flavor was marred by the texture, which I didnt enjoy. For dessert I chose key lime pie (nothing spectacular) and my friend had bread pudding. She definitely won. Parking is either $7 valet or street parking. The iconic Coppertone sign is right across the street, making for a great photo opp.

Always loved this place. Loved the food and service. Looks like they have changed their management a few times. I went there for Mothers Day. Was very disappointed. Service was mediocre. Same server was helping everyone and took a while to check on us. We spend 45 min at the table before we got any food. They had buffet on Sunday which looked like a menu from a hotel. The chicken was good but not extraordinary. They use to have dishes that will make you melt. I always went back to this place because the dishes were unique and delicious. Now its just an average menu with average service. So disappointed.

The Vagabond kitchen & bar is located in the Mimo District and within the hotel of the same name. This time we were there enjoying their happy hour (food and drinks), which stands out for the quality of their cocktails and the fried bacon served as a complement. Good food, impeccable decor and an excellent place to kiss your partner unbashfully, it also has a bar in the hotel pool that sometimes has a DJ. We recommend the following: Drinks, kisses, food and when finished, drinks in the pool, more kisses and whatever you want to imagine.

The only positive was that the place was nice and the service was good!!! The food was terrible. Very few yummy items from the menu. We ordered about 10 dishes between the party and we all agreed that only 2 dishes cut it. It was not worth the drive and it was totally over priced. Unfortunately it was a terrible culinary experience last night. Not one of my favorites in Miami.

Wow! Fun yet chic setting with great food and nice & knowledgeable servers. Have a drink at the pool bar first. Craft cocktails are amazing with a pool view. Inside the decor is great and this chef has got it going on! Dont miss the crispy pigs head... All in all, one of the best new spots in south Florida and (for once) close by to us, thanks Vegabond!

Good menu, excellently prepared. We went for a lighter dinner and cocktails. The octopus was perfectly tender. The salad niçoise was with seared (delicious) tuna. The Branson was excellent as was the gnocchi. To top it off they had one of my favourite riojas. The décor is great, as is the bar and DJ by the pool. This restaurant is a must.

This restaurant is one of my favorite in Miami. The food is great, French inspired but pretty well adapted to local tastes and the service is really good. They care about you and try to make whatever they can to make sure your dinner is an excellent experience. I really recommend this restaurant. Give it a try!
