This was my second time at Sakura. Promptly seated. Hostess asked what we would like to drink. One hot tea, and one unsweet tea. She said okay, so things were going good so far. We went to the buffet area, and it has plenty of choices. As other reviews mention, they have many different sushi options. Today there was probably 20-25 options They also have several options in the cold salads, and then plenty of choices in the warm Chinese dishes Back to the tables we go. We have two large waters waiting for us. Not the hot tea or unsweet. Just two glasses of water. That is fine, At least we have something to drink while we are waiting. General Tso, Bourbon Chicken, Jalapeno Sushi, Salmon Sushi and a few other choices were on my plate. The Sushi was a little to close to room temp for my liking. Not that they were warm. Just not as cool/cold as I normally get. Also, when picking up the different Sushi choices, there is one set of tongs for possibly three or four different Sushi options. This equals a possibility of cross contamination to me. Plus, if there is a sauce on one, that will end up on the other you get with the same set of tongs. Honestly, how much is a set of tongs. they could easily have one pair for each choice. Oh, but the way, still no hot tea or unsweet tea. We went back up for a second round. I skipped the Sushi this time, and she went directly to the desserts. Came back to the table, and still no hot tea or unsweet tea. I know, some will say that I should have asked for it again. However, you may also want to know that there were only four tables being served, and two servers. So, this shouldnt have been an issue. Okay, now comes the hard part. One of the other tables finished their meal, paid, and left. After a few minutes went by, bit of the servers were there to clean up the table. A few minutes went by, and I noticed they were wiping down the seats with the damp rag. Hmmm... sort of nice... they clean the seats also. That was a good thing to see. WAIT...... screeching halt. Then that same rag was used to wipe down the table. Yes, you are reading this right. They wiped down the butt sweat and whatever else off the chair, and then they wiped off the table. This was disgusting to see. Well, we didnt have to worry about making a third trip up for food. We decided it was time to head out. So, the food was decent, but when you are sitting there at the table, you will need to think about having someones butt sweat all over the place. This is just plain nasty. Because of the unsanitary way they are wiping down the tables, they automatically get a Terrible. As I am writing this I almost feel nauseous because I have no idea if they have these same type of practices in the kitchen. ugh... just nasty

This restaurant is by no ways associated to the Sakura national chain, and it is certainly by no means Japaneses cuisine. If I was to to describe this place to the average consumer, think traditional mall food court menu items, but for twice the cost. Me and my wife went to this place last night because we wanted to try something different, and shes a huge fan of sushi, and we were both fans of the Sakura restaurant we both frequent in Charlottesville, VA. This place was a huge let down. It is nothing more than your garden variety Americanized Chinese takeout place, just re-branded to claim to be Japanese cuisine instead of Chinese. Except, the menu items are no different that what you would get any where else. My wife tried different items from the sushi bar, I stuck to the traditional Chinese buffet table; i.e. fried rice, different chicken items, dumplings, etc. Wife said her sushi was OK, about the same as to what you can buy from your local grocery store, I wasnt so lucky. About the only item I thought tasted decent enough was the fried rice, everything else was either bland, slimy, fatty, oily, or purfumy (if thats a word). Teriaki chicken and their Dumplings were bland, their Broccoli chicken was slimy, I bit into a sweet and sour chicken piece which I will swear was 80% fat, and the spring roles and chicken on stick was coated in something that had an over powering flowery taste to it. Oddly enough, their General Zao chicken was OK, but had I not seen the little sign stating what it was, I would have thought I was eating something different. Oh, and we both had up set stomachs shortly after leaving there. It should be without saying that we will never be going back to this place. I would recommend you save your $37 (for two) and go to the mall for your Asian cuisine.

Visiting Florida on business. There were many options for sushi seeing that Melbourne was right on the coast, but none were AYCE. I was dang hungry after skipping lunch, so I wanted to spend my petty cash on something worth it. 16 bucks for a weekday dinner, thats dang cheap for sushi so I gave it a go. I was the only customer at the time with 2 hours left till closing. It made me wonder if I made a mistake, but I looked on and wanted to try it still. -=-Hot Food-=- Not bad, not bad at all. The hot food options were plentiful, but I found my absolute favorites which were Fried Cream Cheese Wontons and the Honey Walnut Shrimp. I felt like I had to eat all the foods since I was the only one here, but my stomach would not have it. -=-The Sushi-=- It wasnt the bestest, freshest sushi, but it wasnt the worst either. Id still put it a notch above Todai. There were about 2 baked rolls to choose from, but most of the selections were nigiri sushi. I didnt find my favorites like Ono, but they had the basics salmon, tuna, fresh eel, and yellowtail. Overall, this is good value for your money. Even if I were spending my own money, Id eat here. Service was friendly and they treated me well and did not saturate me with attention being drastically outnumbered by employees.

Me a and my friend stopped in to eat with my 1 year old and my 2 year old sons. The food absolutely horrible! The service also terrible not friendly at all! And to top it off i stood there and argued with the boss because they charged my babies $8.00 because my 2 year old ate half a slice of watermelon! And they said they dont care how old or how big u are, if you sit down you half to pay! So if u do decide to eat their horrible food dont bring any babies or theyll charge you! I dont mind to pay for my kids but not if they dont eat! 1 and 2 years old? Ridiculous

Great value for a number of east Asian dishes. We keep going back because they have a fresh and diverse selection of sushi, rolls, and traditionally Japanese appetizers like seaweed salad. They also have a section dedicated to the usual east Asian fare, including favorites like General Tsos and Sweet and Sour chicken. All on par with other Chinese Buffet restaurants around. If you want a quick and inexpensive sushi lunch/dinner, I recommend this place.
