I have eaten there 4 times so you can rest assured I am giving a fair review. We did not have any problems until yesterday. My family ordered 2 smoothies. The young man helping us told us we couldn’t use a coupon because we were not ordering food. (Nowhere on the coupon did it say we had to order food.) But, we continued with our order and paid in cash. The man immediately turned around and began talking to another young man that worked there – whispering/complaining about another customer. The manager – CANDICE – then came over and proceeded to gossip more about a previous customer that was complaining about crapes they had ordered. Literally, 5 MINUTES later as we stood there in front of the counter we were so frustrated, my husband said excuse me – “Are the smoothies being made in the kitchen or something?” The manager rolls her eyes and replies, “No they are made right here,” as the first young man grabs a banana with his BARE HANDS and puts it in a blender. YUCK! NOT SANITARY! I then asked the woman if she was the manager – clearly hearing me asking that question she CONTINUED TO WALK BACK TO THE KITCHEN! I told the young man I wanted to speak with the manager and he told me she WASN’T COMING OUT OF THE KITCHEN. Can you believe that? A MANAGER not willing to even speak to a customer!!! I asked for my money back and will NEVER go there again!! Beware the next time you get sick from eating there – they don’t use gloves!!! HORRIBLE business practices for a mom and pop business!! Good luck to the owner – I bet you they won’t last a year!!

We tried this place for breakfast based on the reviews. The only upside to the whole experience was the cute cafe atmosphere. We came during a slow moment.. only 3 other tables occupied. We had trouble finding seating because other tables were covered in dirty dishes. The tables beside us were littered with trash and dishes throughout our entire meal. The menus were paper and not reflective of the extensive choices on their website (another reason we chose to try this place). I ordered a simple bagel with egg and veggies with coffee and my boyfriend ordered an omelette with a side of French toast. The bagel was nothing special, store bought and drenched in butter. His meal had overdone eggs and uncooked veggies rolled inside. The French toast was thin and flavorless. Not even remotely close to its picture on the website or its description on the menu. To top it off our server STOOD OVER US as he handed the check waiting for us to pay! Never in our lives has this happened to us?! Completely uncomfortable my boyfriend took out cash and counted it at the table as the server stood there. Prior to this moment we would have shrugged it off as a bad meal, never to return and laugh it off later. However the bad meal plus the immeasurable disregard for "customer service/respect" caused for this review.

Went today with some friends. Last time we went, a couple months ago, it took an hour to get our food so we talked to the Manager and she apologized profusely, was kind about it and paid for our meal and dessert. We hadnt had bad service before so we decided to come back after that because we like the food. Today it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks, and 1 and 1/2 hours later our food was still not out. 2 tables around us got their food and were seated after us. We spoke to our waitress about the lengthy time and mentioned we were thinking about paying for our drinks and leaving and she was very rude, told us she was fine with that. No apology, no offers to check on if the food was ready, etc. We went inside to pay for our drinks and the Manager, who was different this time, came out to start arguing about the time we were here. We sat down at 1:30 and didnt mention anything until 3:30, so it was an hour and a half. Then he said the drinks were on him and we proceeded to go to Dexters next door where we got delicious food in less than 30 minutes. Cozee Cafe could be an enjoying place if the staff was nice and the service didnt suck.

We were in town staying at the Westin for 3 days, and we chose to head to Cozee Cafe twice rather than trying out a new spot each morning - thats how great it was! The service was lovely, the atmosphere was bright and artsy, with a globally inspired minimalist look, and a menu to match. We loved how many African, middle Eastern, and south Asian inspirations were present on the menu, and the excellent presentation of the tea. The naan wraps and pancakes were among our favorite entrees, though nothing we had wasnt delicious. If also like to mention how attentive and kind the staff was. You could tell management was doing something right because, even without the owner (who came by to greet us multiple times!) present, they were wonderful. While we were there, a leak in one of the open-air refrigerators was dripping a bit of water on the ground - nothing we would even bat an eye at- and the level of attention and care they paid to make sure we werent inconvenienced was so thoughtful. Great spot! Ill be back!

Went here for a relaxing cup of coffee with my beautiful girlfriend who enjoys coffee as much as i do. The place is cozy and relaxing but didnt have much spirit or character to it but anyway, the most important part of this business is what it advertises itself for which is coffee and desserts. Im Spanish so culturally and traditionally i grew up drinking lots of coffee, with that being said i ordered a regular coffee and a muffin, when i got it just alone by the color of it i knew it was old coffee, surely enough i tasted it and yes it was old. Thats really bad for such a small place in a busy plaza. The muffin was honestly rock hard at least a week and a half old and over baked. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone not even just for coffee, its sad that i have to be honest and write a bad review about this place because i love coffee and this place couldve been a hit for where it is conveniently located.

My first time there and they seem very disorganized. The customer prior to me complained about the serving size of his takeout soup being too small (it filled only half the container), so the countergirl asked him if he wanted to wait while the chef made more. The customer said he was already running late and replied, "no. But, do they really need to "make" more soup or could they have just poured more into his container? It was odd. I also was waiting longer wait than expected for my takeout. I ordered a BLT and the bread was dry and hard and the sandwich was completely apart when I returned to my office. (a toothpick would have solved that.) My caeser side salad was average but they gave me dressing in a metal cup with saran wrap on it. They must have run out of throwaway dressing containers is my guess. I always give places more than one try, but first impressions were not too good.
