the owners came by to assess damage to the restaurant during Irma and they thought it was minimal. while checking out the damage a family visiting from another state needed to feed their children and asked if hola could help..the owners fired up the stove and fed them. more people in the community showed up as they too were out looking for food and instead of turning the people of the community of which they serve away, they continued to serve. the food was prepared fresh and you could taste the love in every bite..there was no wait staff and the patrons collected the plates and tried to clean up behind themselves as best they could. it was a great thing to observe...community and people in crisis!! i will always support this place of business.

My co-worker and I came here for lunch today and sat on the patio. Our waitress sat us down left the menu and started to walk away I asked if she could get our drinks so she brought them and the chips and salsa. Only one small bowl of salsa for two people. I asked for more but since she didnt bring it I asked another waitress, the other waitress brought it our waitress took our order around 12:10 at 12:45 we still didnt have our order we asked about it and they said they werent sure where it was that it was gonna take quiet a while longer. Well we only have an hour so we still Never received our food tiday. Dont go here waste of time and service sucked and on top of it they were extremely rude when we questioned them about our food.

Its a charming little place and unlike most places downtown, theres plenty of parking. The salsa was above average and had a bit of heat to it which I liked. I also got a bowl of queso that was very tasty. I ordered a combo that came with a taco, burrito, enchilada, and they let me substitute a flauta for the chalupa that normally comes with it. All of it was good but the flauta stood out both because I dont regularly see them on Mexican menus but also because it was particularly tasty. I dont often work downtown but next time Im called out here, Ill be back to to Hola for lunch.

This place has been here a really long time... I have eaten here a lot over the past 10 years, usually the food is very good (Im from S. Ca., I know authentic Mex. food, have not found it in Fl. but Im still searching), there have been a few times when the chips taste slightly dated or the tortilla around the enchilada is water soggy but this has only been a few times. All in all the service is good, interior dining room is small but cozy, weekdays it is very crowded from the downtown crowd at lunchtime; give it a try and judge for yourself.

This a nice cozy little restaurant. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. The restaurant is family owned. Marco, one of the owners, is dedicated to making sure that you receive the best tasting food he can provide by doing his part in the kitchen. If you are in the Downtown Jacksonville area, support this local business and head to this restaurant....oh and happy hour starts at 2pm!!!

The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The service was excellent. A great place near downtown for lunch. Youd get in and out pretty quick for a sit-down restaurant. Only complaint is the portion size was smaller than other Mexican restaurants Ive tried, although still ok in size.

The quality of the food and friendliness of the staff is excellent. Marco, the owner is always very attentive ensuring all guests expectations are met, unlike the service you you receive in other local restaurants. Would highly recommend, including for a delicious catering.

Would have givin the place 5 stars for authentic and delicious food, but the snotty stuck up blonde waitress ruined it for us. Avoid the entitled princess blonde if at all possible.

Salsa was cheap and canned the chicken and beef was dry and bland. The price was way to high for the amount of food. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
