THIS IS THAT PLACE!!! Finally a place that is truly honest and great!! As a little back story. Was our engagement week with the girl of my dreams. Absolutely on point to make sure our week is the best: self chartered boats in Miami and the Keys, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, camping (may have lost some of you), and engaging. Even got to be that little tiny boat you always see on the horizon at sunset from the road. (A must!) One morning we get up in the rain to go find this "cool" café. We pull up and see this place trying to be hip with all their destinations sign and vibrant colors. We run inside and are instantly thrown smiles and hellos people being paid to smile..... Never mind, I was trying to be funny, and realized it just sounded dumb. Honestly, that place is a vibrant beacon halfway between Miami and Key West. It is an honest creative effort on behalf of the owner and family which directly reflects in their hospitality and food. Their smiles are legit and not just ushered up as superficial utterance. This is a café run by, worked by, and cared for by the owner. I do not know the know the relationship of the others that work there, but their harmony and kindness can truly be felt. The food is simple and delicious. They evidently put the BLT on the menu not as a staple, but because someone there finally knows how to make one in this world. Hats off to you. And the Holy Cow is justly named. I love surprises. I love how this place proved not to be everything I think everybody else is. I love the surprise of genuine love for what one does and does well. I love being made to feel part of that when I sit down at a table. I hope the sincerity and/ or silliness of my review will at least prompt you to visit Midway Café out of curiosity alone. I promise you that you will not be disappointed: surprised maybe. They were crucial in the part of making that week the best one possible. Its the little things that can make the biggest impact. P.s. Nicole, there are women in Tennessee sitting up in their graves over your meringue and crust in the Key Lime Pie. The meringue had a honey sweetness filled droplet off the whipped end like scorpion before the sting. That was the first and only thing that comes to mind about the meringue. The filling, Ill leave up to another that can do it justice. Thank you so much!! Well send wedding pictures.

Bravi!

Finally..a fantastic breakfast place. We have stopped Here in the past but before they upped their game. This is a cheerful and friendly place with a phenomenal breakfast menu that also has gluten free options that arent lousy. I had the egg skillet and my hubby had the Mediterranean omelet..both fantastic but the almond latte was over the top..will need to get back there for lunch.the only drawback is that because the restaurant is long and narrow it is a but confusing ordering then getting through the line to get your table...minor details for some great food...

IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA YOU MUST GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! their key lime pie is the best that you will ever get down here in the keys, the food is absolutely delish as well! not to mention they have very friendly, laid back staff. i was never disappointed about anything i ordered here. in fact, i bought a key lime pie from them and tried to drive it up to georgia for my mother, but unfortunately our cooler had issues and iit had been wrecked. however, i was able to reconstruct the pie and it was amazing!! 5/5 i totally recommend.

Overpriced and not worth it. The coffee in all honesty was bland and kinda awful. We were immediately treated poorly for asking what was in the croissants and when my friend brought back his machiatto because he ordered a latte they argued with him about the difference between the two. If you want to pay outlandish prices for a sub par experience then go out on a date with someone you met on tinder.... overall i did not only dislike what i got, but i felt like there was nothing they would do to remedy it, and that was probably the worst part.

A must stop gem for breakfast! Warm, wonderful folks serving excellent coffee (free refills), accompanied by a great breakfast menu. Eggs can be prepared any way you desire, whether it be a simple "over easy" or an overstuffed wrap filled with vegetables and meats of your choice. Uplifting, colorful decor also helps to start your day off on the right foot. There is ample parking on both the Old Highway and on US 1. Enjoy!

Cute color little place on the side of the road. You feel like family when you walk in. Cozy and everything home made I believe! Cappuccino was amazing creamy, and I had a bowl of lobster bisque which was definitely the best ive had! Also you must try the key lime pie out of this world!!! Sit out on the patio if you can just so peaceful. Will go back for sure!

Absolutely loved this place. My family is from Pittsburgh and we stopped here several times on out vacation in the keys. Great drinks (tropical macchiato is crazy good) and the food was amazing. There wasnt one this on the menu that got a bad review from my family. 10/10 will be stopping there next time we are in Florida. Great service great food, wonderful experience

20 minutes waiting for a coffee to go. Horribly inefficient process to order paired with slow, miserable, and rude staff. The sign in your store says you arent Starbucks and its true for good reason. To the woman that was making my coffee, complaining the entire time, Im sorry my $5 espresso inconvenienced you this morning. Next time Ill stop at the next coffee shop.

Welcome to the Keys! So youre looking for where the locals go? You just found it. You want a place that tastes and acts and looks like the "Keyz-e" vibe you see in brochures & on TV? You just found it. Awesome staff (Yvonne was great) and good food/coffee. Bring your kids. Bring your dog. Hang out awhile here and enjoy what it feels like to be in the islands.

Place is awesome. Even have some gluten free muffins (I had blueberry)(Update..Came back this year and they dont serve them anymore. I cried. I was only looking forward to the muffins). Salsa is awesome. The apple juice is divine and the staff is the friendliest ever. If you dont stop in this place while you are here you are just down right stupid. Love it.

A must go to if you are going to the keys! Has the most friendly staff that are always willing to stop and ask you about your day and genuinely care about the response. Also the banana chai frappes are out of this world!! Love that its owned and run by a local family, has an awesome vibe and great food. 11/10 would highly recommend :)
