First time going here. We are locals. Someone mentioned they saw the all-you-can-eat Sushi for 14.99 and figured we would try it because it sounded like a great deal considering my husband and I pay $50 at our favorite sushi bar in uptown station. Well... We found out real fast why it was only 14.99. The rice is so soggy, they stuff it with cream cheese forcing you to eat everything on your plate or they will charge you a dollar per piece not eaten. The "salmon" they put on top of your roll is like ground beef... Ground salmon. The taste wasnt bad but the texture was awful and then once it settled in my stomach I couldnt hold it down. NO ITS NOT FOOD POISONING. . . Its just straight up terrible food that shouldnt be put into your body and service at this restaurant was terrible but I dont want to talk about that. From the reviews I assume it has been open for awhile.... Im a local and had never herd of this place. I will not recommend it at all. Especially not to visitors who want to have a great vacation and not throw up for several hours after eating here.

I am VERY disappointed with China Taste. My husband and I went there today for lunch. When we went to the counter she was just answering the phone. She was very rude to the people on the other side of the line, with what seemed like they were asking for directions. I ordered vegetable fried rice. After it came out I noticed that there were mushrooms in it. I am allergic to mushrooms so I went up to the counter and asked for a togo box and then re-ordered the fried rice and asked for it without mushrooms because I am allergic. After I had started eating the new dish about half way in I realized there was still a little bit of mushrooms in it. When my husband went to tell the lady there was mushrooms in it her reply was "well I didnt cook it" and then she actually asked my husband to pick them out and come show her that there are actually mushrooms in there. I work in a restaurant and I could NEVER imagine giving that type of service. My husband and I will not being going back. Do not go there if you have any food allergies.

Orderd food from here for delivery. I left a request on the door for them to leave the food on the porch or for them to call me when they arrived...because my nephew was sleeping & we have dogs that bark. The delivery driver was extremely rude & asked for a bigger tip after a $5.00 ( note I live in hollywood which is right down the road) the delivery driver was banging on my door like a mad man. My total should have only been $25.00 after a tip & all. I get my reciept & Im charged almost $30.00!!! I called & they said it was a card fee. Said I wanted my money back & they Said there was nothing they could do its apart of their business. I said they could have the food back & they Said no. Theyre not taking it back nor could I get a refund. Didnt eat not one ounce of the food, threw it away. Worse place in fort walton.

The service was about as disinterested as it can get. The waitress NEVER visited the table to ask if we needed anything, so everytime we needed something we had to try to get her attention. The restaurant was also not that clean. The physical menus used should have replaced years ago. They were fairly disgusting. The food was okay, nothing special. Sushi was fresh. It was evident they fry anything and everything in the same grease. The cream cheese won tons tasted like shrimp and the egg rolls did too. They really need to learn to only fry like items in the same grease. Overall I will avoid this place forever. Service was unattentive. The facilities were not well maintained, and the food was mediocre. And I really got tired of asking for napkins, or another beer, or anything.

Ive only had two visits to this restaurant and I wont be going back. First visit was pleasant, nothing stellar, but I enjoyed the opportunity to try new sushi rolls and flavors on a double date with friends. My second visit was heartbreaking. We ordered the all you can eat sushi and my second roll was impossibly huge. Too large to eat in a bite and roughly 3 times larger than any sushi roll Ive ever seen. The second roll was practically slathered in excess cream cheese and rather than being served a plate of sushi, it just felt like an unmistakable insult. I dont go to a restaurant to be insulted and I will never visit this establishment again.

Horrible experience ! Were zero stars an option, I would certainly grant China Taste of Fort Walton the same service they offered me. Charged two $1 charges for being outside of delivery area. I live 3.1 miles from restaurant. I was charged a $1 fee for using a card for an online order. After an hour called to find out where my order was. Told 15 minutes, 30 minutes later, I received cold soggy food. Upon complaining I was told no refund. First and last time ! I sincerely hope others read this and decide not to patronize this restaurant. This is not how a successful business should operate.

The unlimited sushi deal is fantastic. It is not pre-made like in other places. They make all of it fresh and the unlimited deal includes all of their "fancy" rolls, which are delicious. I highly recommend! UPDATE: Ive had a bit of a change of heart now that Ive been around longer. While the sushi is ok, its not great. I started to go to other sushi restaurants in the area and the quality is certainly better elsewhere. On top of that, the ridiculous attitude they give you when you dont eat all the rice (over served on purpose) is a huge turn off for any possible returning customers.

Me and my girlfriendwent to eat there for lunch , they act like they dont speak any English whatsoever, my wonton in the wonton soup was disgusting , hard yet soft.. not like regular wonton soup. Anyways the " all you can eat sushi " is completely bogus , they just keep trying to pull money outta you without explaining the way the sushi system works. Go there for yourself if you want a horrible experience with rude waiters . I also go some more soup for to go and they literally gave me half of a to go bowl that I paid for. Unnecessary and unacceptable .

The potential that this place has is almost, if not already, wasted. The water they give you is tap water and has a rather unlikable taste to it. The sushi, which is one of my main things, did not taste fresh at all and they had too much cream cheese. Lastly, the customer service is very slow. I can understand that if youre busy, but when we are the only personnel in there and its slow and then half the staff is just watching TV, then we have a problem. I did not leave happy. A place I used too love is starting to go downhill pretty fast.

I ordered from here on two separate occasions and I cant recommend it. I ordered a Pad Thai meal for delivery and it smelled and tasted like fish. I had to throw it out after the initial bite. A month later I decided to give it another chance, so I went there during lunch for sushi (not from the unlimited menu) and it was simply the worst Ive ever had. I tried to muscle through it, but it was a no go. The spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and eel avocado were inedible. Im sorry, I tried to like this place but I cant. The food is horrible.
