Its a historical black owned and operated diner, that still holds its morals and values in such an ever changing food industry. Mrs Jewel still works and give out messages of love to those that ears earning for wisdom! The food is amazing and feels like home cooking from my childhood. I pray that it remains a cornerstone in the black community, and more young invest in these BOBO establishments. Great food, great vibe, and if you done with an open heart you might leave with just a little more than the good food.

I love eating and spending time with my family at Ponderosa Soul Food Restaurant! There is nothing like coming into the restaurant and having a meal that has been, professionally, prepared. I encourage entire families and organizations to host Birthday Parties, Wedding Receptions, Anniversaries, and Social Events at the Ponderosa Soul Food Restaurant were the atmosphere feels like a family reunion.
