Went here for lunch today. I dont even know where to begin, of how bad this place is. A complete rip off, and you felt like you got robbed and would have gotten a much better meal at McDonalds. A friend and I ordered the supposedly famous "Swine burgers". First, at a whopping $16 each, it doesnt come with ANYTHING on the side? Not even a small portion of cole slaw (KFC anyone?). Now I know some places do this, but here comes the best part. The burger itself was tiny too! At least at places like Houstons (now Hillstone), you get a huge burger, with very generous condiments. Thinking the burgers were going to be of a generous portion, we opted to share a side order of brussel sprouts for $8. It was probably about six brussel sprouts cut into half, with a drizzle of honey. We were not the only ones thinking that the prices were totally unreasonable. The people sitting at the table next to us were also complaining about the high cost and ridiculous portions. Oh, and my friend ordered a glass of orange juice $5 (probably 8oz at most) filled with ice! Wow, these people sure have chutzpah. You truly feel like you have been robbed. I will NEVER ever come here again, and as I live here, will tell ALL my out of town visitors to avoid. Next time, we will go to trusty Hillstone, where you get your moneys worth. This place must be named after its owner.

We were so disappointed and baffled by managements lack of concern for its guest. The restaurant was pretty much empty, considering its nestled in the heart of Coral Gables business district. We ordered some appetizers: Black Angus Burnt Ends and Deviled Eggs. The Angus Ends were served cold and covered with the cornbread swine BBQ sauce that tasted like vinegar. I called the manger several times, finally he came to our table took the dish back to the kitchen. Ten minutes later the server came back with the dish, again it was cold. They totally forgot the Deviled Eggs. I ordered the Brisket with The Kale Salad, my guest ordered the Swine Burger. We were sitting in the restaurant for 40 minutes before the entrees arrived. I noticed the manger running from the kitchen to the other tables- mind you there were only four tables’ max having lunch. All the guests were complaining why the food was coming out cold and late. The Kale Salad was delicious however, the Brisket portion was less than 3 ounces and served cold. Whats going on, I asked the manager, he was at a loss of words devoid of an apology. Unacceptable! Asked for the bill, they had charged the Deviled Eggs that were never served. Cold food and reckless service is unacceptable in any restaurant. I will never return to Swine Southern Table and Bar and you should not venture dining there.

I was disappointed with the service and the main course. We ordered 2 appetizers that arrived 5 to 10 minutes apart. Plates and silverware were cleared. Then after about a 15 to 20 minute wait for the main course, it is served and we still did not have silverware replaced. It took about 2 minutes to get silverware which is a long time while having the food in front of you after waiting 20 minutes. I had the pork shoulder and it was barely warm. One would think that if the menu says the shoulder had been roasted for 10 hours, it would be served hot. Flavor was bland except for very little peanut sauce it was served with. My wife had the octopus appetizer that had not been properly cleaned. They are not shy with their prices either. $8 to $14 dollars for side dishes that are Okra or Mac n Cheese...... House wine at $14 for a glass. Special of the day was a Flintstones rib, with Cocktail, appetizer and dessert advertised on the web at $65 per person but reduced to $55 on the menu. Apparently someone figured out that the pricing is too high. I dont mind paying for a good meal but when you cant get the silverware right, something is not right. I did not complain to the server or other people that stopped by as I was with other people that I did not wish to embarrass.

This place is/was awful. Hate to say it, but maybe by Miami standards it is acceptable, but by any other standard this place is a weak 2*. Broken down: 1. Food: Mediocre (had cornbread: tasteless; Brussel sprouts: tasty but drenched in oil to the point that it should be called oil flavored with a dash of sprouts; burger: $16 for an American cheeseburger with 2 1/4lb patties? Couldnt tell if they were frozen because they were drenched in thousand island dressing; roast beef sandwich: more of a slider. This actually tasted good, but probably because they used A1 sauce (saw large costco-sized bottles in the back)) 2. Service. Server was friendly if not somewhat lost. Wrong items were brought 2x, and the substitution for fries was forgotten and when this was pointed out they insisted on taking the whole plate back instead of just bringing us the side salad we ordered. Good thing they brought it out quick, because given that it was day old lettuce drenched in oil, I would have been fuming if it took long. Long story short, this place is mediocre, massively overpriced, and definitely worth a skip. forgotten

Food is usually yummy with interesting flavors like jalapeño bacon cheese cornbread. This time the cornbread had a crusty cheese on top and the taste was just average. The pancakes were not fluffy and the bacon and eggs flavors were overpowering ( according to my cousin). My hamburger was good but the pinkish meat was off putting ( supposedly beef mixed with pork on the patty) , the potato wedges were not crispy enough on the outside and too dense in the inside. It had a nice piece of pork bacon on top of the patties. The food is deceptively small but very filling so we ended up over ordering. My brother really liked his Fried Chicken with waffles along with hash brown with cheese wiz and he also ordered cheesy grits which is better than some that I have tried. Prices are $10 average per dish but the bill ended up being $250 for 7 people (and this is without any liquor , we all had water). Decor is comfy and inviting. Great place for brunch. They have a second floor seating also me they take reservations.

This was my first and last time at this restaurant. Was recommended by a friend whom came with us. From the beginning it was a strike out. They didnt have sparkling water they found it, order a single malt scotch they didnt have it came up with another one that who knows what it was. The food took for ever and it came cold, they charged 33 dollars for 3 pieces of brisked that were tasteless with no side. The manager came up after I told the unaware waiter that I had no side and said they were making some fresh. By the time they brought it out I was about finished with the tasteless brisked. The bill was super over priced for the quality of food. Please do yourselfs a favor and dont go to this over priced tasteless food restaurant with terrible service. On the way out I discussed the above with the manager whom didnt make an ioda of an effort to make things right. On top of all poor manager. Over all terrible experience.

Good service, kind of. Fried chicken was good. Happy hour pork cracklins were excellent. $5 well old fashions at happy hour. Kept us at the bar because all of the empty tables behind us were supposedly reserved by various parties. The tables were still empty long after our meal. Bartender suggested substituting mac and cheese for the side with the fried chicken, then added $9 to my check for an extra order of mac and cheese. Ive had better fried chicken with a side for much less than the $35 that I ultimately paid here. Another member of our party had the burger and thought it was excellent. Everything on the happy hour menu is good too. Good place for happy hour and dishes under $20. Dont be tricked into buying anything for more than that here unless you simply have too much money and need to get rid of a large amount of it in a short amount of time.
