I had a 2 star experience but if you are not black it will probably be much better for you because the restaurant staff are actively racist towards African Americans, and I never would have noticed if it werent for my white friends that I came there with. We were a party of three veterans that had just finished a challenging, strenuous and life changing adventure with Outward Bound that was specifically designed for us veterans. After 6 days of "roughing it" at sea without any modern comforts we returned to civilization tired and hungry. The only thing i wanted more than sleep was food. And I had to wait so long for it that it was absurd. I was still nice to everyone and tipped on top of the tip they included (adding the tip to the bill for a party of 3 is pretty low class, btw). Even after the long wait for food, I had to continue waiting because even though we ordered at the same time, the server Edwin brought my food to the table last. The white male with us pointed out how rude he thought that was, and i said, I could care less, just eat and Im sure ill get mine eventually. When my food arrived, it had cooled noticeably. I have worked as a waitress so i was way more patient with my server than anyone else would be bc who knows what he could be dealing with. But i was still surprised that every single thing I asked for took sooo long. Even a drink from the bar that didnt look busy. I was so tired, I could hardly keep up with the conversation, let alone pay attention to my surroundings. But my white friends paid attention. Later that night, at the hotel our grouo of veterans were checked into, the while male present for dinner explained to me how racist that restaurant was. (Too bad he didnt mention that before i tipped on top of the already included tip.) He said that staff members kept shooting him looks throughout the entire evening that made him feel uncomfortable. He complained that not just one person, but almost every employee that walked by our table shot him a look of disgust and incredulity communicating that they were not sure why he was there with a black person. He said that as he was people watching (and i was barely awake), he saw with his own eyes as every table with a black person waited considerably longer than tables with just whites and latinos. Back at the hotel, he even compared our experience to that of another group of veterans that ate there, a party of two latinos and one white male who confirmed that they received much faster and friendlier service than we did. The last thing i want is to be where im not welcome. Too bad you cant just hang up a sign anymore! i would be more than happy to not have gone through the humiliation of being a black, female veteran, facing discrimination and not even know it, over dinner in the country I served with great honor, courage and accomplishment in a restaurant staffed by Latinos who make my comrades feel uncomfortable for being in my presence... Im learning my 5th language and taught myself Spanish so that i could work more closely with Latinos to address issues like systematic racism and have spent thousands of my own money in the 3 years I have spent living in Latin America on programs to reduce poverty and increase education so... The practices at this restaurant are a disgrace to my country and my community of Latinos and I am a part of the Latin American community because when i am in Barrio Oasis, Santa Marta Colombia, estoy en casa and they will tell you, soy familia.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!! This would get a zero star if that was an option. From the minute we walked in, the staff was rude, overworked, and slow. We didnt get our drinks until we were there for 15 minutes, then when we went to the bar to get a refill and the bartender was EXTREMELY IGNORANT!!!! I wanted to give our waiter a break but apparently he is the only one to get refills at the bar! We were there approx. 3 hours and only got two drinks! The clam chowder was delicious but thats as far as it goes. We got the surf and turf and the steak and lobster came out cold. I then asked if they had Margerine or real butter and they said it was real butter. So I ordered melted butter and he brought margerine! My brother-in-law didnt get his coleslaw at all and my sister didnt get her Caesar salad unill after the main course. The bill was $350 for 8 of us and my husband and I shared a meal as did my mom and dad.....and remember only 2 drinks each! I really hope that other people looking for a good meal are warned!!!! I forgot to add that they charge $3 to park in their lot....each way! Worst place Ive ever eaten hands down!!!!

I arrived about 5:30pm on a Sunday. I was promptly seated outside at my request. There I sat for nearly 15 minutes while staff walked all around me, looking at me even but not taking an order it acknowledging me. I finally had a waiter arrive about the time I was preparing to stand up and leave. I ordered New England Clam Chowder and Fish & Chips. The soup and beer arrived quickly, unfortunately the main course did too. I had barely had two bites before it arrived, bad timing. The clan chowder was good, thick with consistency. The fish for the Fish& Chips was in small strips. The odd part was they weighed a ton a piece. The meat was very watery and support hot in comparison to the outside. There wasnt much flavor. The batter though was really tasty and totally let down by the fish. The atmosphere was fine. Rust noise is high but I expected that. Service was mediocre at best. If day it is a breakdown in management, maybe because it is a Sunday. To bad, I dont think Id return after this experience.

I went in to the Catch of the day little did I know I was going to be the one who was fish hooked. I seen the AYCE crab leg sign and decided to to go in and try it, I didnt need a menu since I knew what I wanted. The food was edible, the ambiance was horrible and the price was shocking!!! I had a couple servings of crab legs and then asked for my bill, upon receiving my tab I noticed that the price of the AYCE crab legs $72.99!!!!!! That is not even close to market price for crab legs in the middle of the country, on top of that the place likes to try and be "nice" by already adding gratuity to your tab in addition to the outrageous pricing. This place is overpriced and under performs in every aspect of the business. I will never waste another dime there and I will be sure to warn anyone and everyone who will listen. This was just for one person since I was dining alone!!!
