After a nearby terrible experience, we went to watercolours as a fall back, and didnt expect much. I have a winter place nearby but we were celebrating my mothers 90th birthday that weekend in February 2013. The relatives we were with are in the top scale leather and meat business and a connoiseur of steaks and service. We had eaten frequently at places such as Berns in tampa etc, but I have to say that the steak and service we received here was a cut above almost anything we have experienced. The steaks were cooked perfectly, including the specialty that the relative ordered that is tought to get,,, that is Pittsburgh style. They need a specific type of grill to cook it correctly. The decor and the water location was spectacular at sunset, the shrimp cocktail appetizers were crisp with sides of horseradish to spice the cocktail sauce to the right temperature. Everything was impeccable, though they were out of the 2 choices of wine we ordered with dinner, but the sommelier suggested an outstanding one that we enjoyed. I rarely gush about eating establishments but this is certainly the class of tampa area steakhouses.

Had a fabulous dinner Christmas night at Watercolours. Our crab cakes and mussels were out of this world! Prime rib and hangar steak were cooked to perfection! Even though they were very busy the service was great! Started and ended our evening at the bar, Rick was incredible! He was extremely busy but never missed a beat. He has a great personality and made everyone feel welcome. We had the pleasure of interacting with Diane first as we were seated and again after dinner, so pleasant and also very welcoming. Everyone at this location worked as a team, the management was visible and attentive to the guests. Couldnt have asked for a better evening! Thank you!

Went to eat with three other couples on January 2 for dinner. The steaks ($38) were not cooked properly and we had to send them back. When the waitress (very nice) took them back the plates had vegetables, mushrooms, etc since we had place orders for side dishes. Of course, when they came back it was just the steaks! We told the waitress but there was nothing she could do. The bill for six was around $650 and we took our own wine to decanter. The manager was nowhere to be found. I feel that this type of restaurant should have a manager on duty, even on a day after a big Holiday. None of us will ever return.

When I first visited in December 2012, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, food, and staff! The ahi tuna is by far my favorite dish. I even ventured and tried escargot for the first time on my birthday and even that was very delicious! Its also the best steakhouse and according to my best friend their filet mignon is amazing (Im a pescatarian so I wouldnt know but I will take her word for it since shes a foodie.

Went in with 1.5 hours until sunset and told the waitress we wanted to try to get out to the beach in time to watch it. We then watched several tables get seated and served quicker than us. Waitress never came back and poured wine when our glasses were empty. Scallops arrived cold. Pork Chop was ordered cooked "medium" and arrived closer to "well done". No we did not get to watch the sunset. Disappointment all around.

Please read: Maria Buckle at the front desk of the restaurant made our dining experience so wonderful from the moment she introduced herself. Warm,friendly, professional, caring and very pleasant. My husband & I both said it was the best date night dining out weve had this week. We both left extremely happy. The food was great as well along with Rick the awesome bartender & Eva our server.
