Been living on the island for six years not far from Omas. Im amazed at how many times Omas has screwed-up my orders. Why do I still order menu items from them? They are one of the very few pizza restaurants here that deliver and their pizza is better than Dominos. J. Burns pizza shop is likely the best pizza we have on the island that delivers, but they close early even on weekends and they stop delivering an hour before they close! Regarding Omas the quality of the food is not consistent, no matter what you order! Tonight I took a chance and ordered the Chicken Marsala with Ziti. I havent had it in a while and thought maybe it improved. NOT. The Marsalla sauce though tasty had way too much oil in it as usual. Many dinners offered at Omas have way too much oil. I determine this by how much oil settles in the bottom of the take-out container. Its absolutely gross when you find nearly an inch of oil settled at the bottom of the container. This time around the chicken was also like rubber! I could hardly cut it with a knife let alone eat it plus the tendons? It ended-up down the disposal, a $17 dollar dinner. At the least the salad was very good and the ziti. However, the garlic bread was stale. Omas has excellent home-made Italian salad dressing. They could sell it by the bottle at the restaurant if they wanted. Another item thats really good are their ice cream troufles. I can recommend two of them - Manhattan and Amoretto. Regarding the stale garlic bread - that one was a new one on me! Never had stale bread from OMAs before. Also, whenever I order pizza from OMAs I order it by the slice. I usually order pepperoni pizza by the slice. The amount of cheese they put on is good and consistent and the pizza crust is cooked right and consistent as well. Too many times Ive ordered whole pizzas from Omas and theyd arrive cheap on the cheese or the crust was soggy, barely cooked. This is ONE pizza parlor where you can call them asking for a well-done or dark crust pizza and 8 out of 10 times what you get will be a regular or light-crust pizza. If you ask for well done crust I swear the cook ignores such requests! Heck, I shouldnt complain... at least they remembered to bring my soda this time. Forgetting to bring sodas is another issue no matter if you order it by the cup (fountain) or by the can. Good luck!

**BEWARE*** THERE WAS A NAIL BAKED IN MY CALZONE! I ordered a calzone, on my third bite of the calzone, I felt a zing shoot through my tooth. I reached into my mouth and pulled out a hard object, was it a rosemary twig? I thought to myself, no! It was a bent carpenters nail with paint sploches on it! I was in total shock, I handed it to my boyfriend, so he could see it up close, then I called the waiter over and gave it to him. The waiter came back ALONE, and said " they will take the calzone off " Are you serious? Its not like my food was over-salted or something, I just bit into a nail! where was the manager? where was the apology? Where was the concern for other human beings safety? Appalled and in shock, I got up and went to the front I asked for the nail back, a.nd a man said "what do you want it for?", I said for evidence, but the nail had magically disappeared, they said they " disposed of it". To top it off the lady behind the register said I probably brought it from home, under her breath. This establishment is a threat to public safety, and has no empathy or concern for their patrons. I highly recommend you do not risk your safety or the safety of your children and eat at Omas pizza. BTW I did just get a tetanus shot and lose a whole day of work at the doctors office.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! WORST SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A VERY LONG TIME!! We were vacationing in Anna Maria Island, FL and decided to order pizza on the beach and wanted to avoid the Dominos of the world and we wanted delivery so we could enjoy some dinner with the kids on the beach while taking in the sunset. What a disaster. We ordered 3 pizzas - it took almost hour and half to get them and when we got them open at the beach, all of them were not fully cooked. One had nearly raw mushrooms and onions on it and the mushrooms were disgusting. Pizza was worthless. I was so upset that I called. They tell me to drive the pizza down to their restaurant to get a refund!!!! Like Im going to miss the sunset and leave the beach to return a worthless $20 pizza. Returned the pizza the next day just because I was so upset that these guys would do that. The owner was rude and condescending asking me "where the hell was I from to say their mushrooms werent cooked." - Need I say more? Forget this place at all costs and find somewhere else to go... MAYBE LOSING BUSINESS BECAUSE OF BAD REVIEWS WILL WAKE THESE PEOPLE UP BUT I DOUBT IT. I HOPE THIS REVIEW CAUSES SOME TO SKIP OMAS AND TAKE THEIR BUSINESS TO A RESTAURANT THAT CARES ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS/PATRONS.

DONT EAT FOOD FROM THIS RESTAURANT! After a beautiful week on this lovely beach, my husband and I decided to keep it simple on our last night here and order delivery. Several people had recommended this place, so we felt good about our decision. For a small pizza, a spaghetti meal and mushrooms for an appetizer, we were a little surprised with the $48 bill, but it smelled good so we didnt complain. I ate one slice of pizza (beforfinding a hair on another slice) and one mushroom and began feeling ill immediately following. After getting sick, I called management and expressed my concern and was immediately met with defensiveness, telling me no one else has complained and she didnt know what I expected her to do. I even told her that I would show her that only one slice of pizza and one mushroom had been eaten. I could have cared less about getting our money back but did expect some care and concern from her. Thanks for the parting meal - it almost killed me.

I have been to Omas many times before. I have never had an unpleasant meal at this establishment, all this has change as of yesterday day evening. I am appalled! My family and I decided to get a delivery of pasta, pizza, and good service. We got none. The food was terrible! And the man delivering it was very vexatious! He seemed to not want to be delivering the food, and he did not even deliver everything we ordered! He forgot my sons red pepper flakes! The food was terrible! My wife and I ordered a white pizza with mushrooms, and you could tell they were canned mushrooms, it was awful! My son and daughter were very upset when the cannolis they ordered werent even filled in all the way. There are many things that are forgivable, but come on! Filling a cannoli is not a hard task at all! I am officially no longer a believer that Omas has good food, or that it has good service. I do not NOT recommend this establishment to anyone with taste buds, or feelings!
