Tl;dr: GO. Delicious food, generous portions, great prices and service. Stopped in for lunch during the week while doing field work in Largo. Despite my less-than-dressy appearance, I was greeted warmly and treated very well. The interior is impeccably decorated with a warm, upscale (but not uppity) atmosphere. The service was excellent and saw to our every need. The menu has a diverse and interesting selection of steaks, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and daily lunch specials. I opted for the Tuesday lunch special: two salmon tacos with a Caesar salad. I received two giant soft tacos with a large, deliciously seasoned/grilled serving of salmon in each with a delicate slice of ripe avocado and a tasty Caesar salad. I was impressed with the portion size; I couldnt finish my second taco, and the entire meal was only $10-ish. The restaurant automatically adds 15% gratuity to every check (regardless of the size of your party), but you will feel inclined to leave more because the service and food are so good. Lunch items range from $5 to $15, and dinner ranges from $8 to $35. Be sure to check out the bathroom: Dyson hand dryers and a special door fixture so that you dont have to use your hands to exit...nice touch. I will definitely be back when Im in Largo to check out more of their specials. Edit: I went back the following day for lunch and tried the special of the day: 8oz steak with horseradish sauce and crispy onions, a generous portion of real garlic mashed potatoes, and veggies. This time, I got to look at the dessert menu and decided to try the creme brulee as well, and my friend ordered the tiramisu. Both were very generous portions for the price AND exquisite.

We have been coming to E&E for a long time and I have never had this bad experience before. We were there last evening to celebrate two birthdays. When the reservation was made the girl started to come up with crap about fire laws dont allow parties up to 14. Bull, those codes are for the entire dining facility, not a group of four tables. The same group have been coming there for several years. The service was bad. Some body dropped a steak on the floor and when it was pointed out to the waitress, she said I know and walked away. One of our party had a very good steak and it was so much seasoning on it it was terrible. Drinks were very week and one drink had so many olives in it they had to be removed to get to the drink. I had absolute and cranberry and it was so week, I never drank it. It seems as though after Billy left, things took a very bad turn downwards in the dining area. We noticed a big turnover of waitress and waters. We had to ask several times for bread and only one small container of butter was served for 14 people. I had salmon and the large portion and it was no bigger than what I would consider small. Ive had larger portions of trout than this one. You have raised prices to compensate for the removal of the gratuity I suppose. In the whole, everything has taken a turn for the worse and we will not be returning anytime soon. Neither will the other 12 in our party. Keep up the way this went last night and youll be closing the doors as other have. I dont know who the chef was last evening but surely wasnt the same. If you want to mess with the snowbirds, do what you have to but dont expect the locals to put up with this crap.

We were at your restaurant on Sat. evening the 23rd of May 2015 at approximately 5 p.m. We had made reservations several days in advance and were greeted warmly upon arriving. We were very impressed with the waitress and the service and the food were all outstanding. However we were disappointed in the fact that even though we had made reservations we were taken to a table right next to the bar. There were people in the bar who were celebrating a special occasion and the more they drank the louder they got. Needless to say it was very difficult for the four of us who were enjoying our wine along with our meal, so we are not opposed to someone enjoying a night of celebration, however we were also trying to hear one another at the same time. By the time we left our heads were reeling and our throats were soar from having to yell at each other across the table as we tried to converse. We ended up leaving your restaurant earlier than we would have preferred as we wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee and a dessert but did not wish to continue to compete with the party at the bar. Therefore we left and went to one of your competitors where it was much quieter and a more pleasant atmosphere for enjoying a conversation as well as the food. I am only writing this as we were all very happy with your restaurant in every way except for the table where we were sitting. I do think when a reservation is made in advance the patron should expect to have better consideration for the table where they will be seated to enjoy the night and dinner they have anticipated for a special evening with friends.

Its a sad day when you realize your go to place is long gone. Today was the last of four recent visits. Ive been dining here for YEARS. The presentation coming from the kitchen is still beautiful and the food has been good but the door and the dining room etiquette and appearance have been a huge disappointment. Today we walked in to the north dining room. Every table that wasnt sat was dirty except for the one the hostess brought us to; the one with the wall light out and the overhead halogen flickering on its last leg. I noticed several lights out. We waited while a server cleaned another table for us and explained how slammed they were for lunch. One young man who was bussing the dining room sprayed cleaner all over the sugar caddys and side plates and was cussing to himself. It was dark in there, smelled of bleach and ammonia, and the carpet which was full of food and paper debris was never swept during our entire lunch. I counted at least 10 people who walked over it never once took a moment to address it. That was the third time I saw that happen in two months. Im angry sad and disgusted all at the same time. What happened to our classy corner go to??? I sometimes feel like I want to get up and lend a hand and teach a few people how to work this room. Please please please if the owners of E&E are reading these posts, wont you please take action and hire someone who knows how to run a dining room? Whoever is in charge now, knows nothing about the restaurant business.

My son made reservations 4 months in advance for his wedding reception/dinner at E & E. When our party of 12 arrived, we were told our table was occupied and the people "hadnt left" so we couldnt have our reserved table. The manager actually told my son in a very snippy tone that she tried to call him. As if to put the blame on him because he didnt answer the phone DURING his wedding ceremony!!We were told we could be seated at 2 tables- separated by the isle. We tried to get another restaurant to accommodate us, but at that late hour, nothing was available. We had no choice but to take the 2 tables. Half the wedding party was with the bride & groom, toasting and having a good time, the other table had no idea what was going on & was totally left out of the festivities. Two people at one table had their backs to the other table. If that was not enough, the brides father received his dinner AFTER the rest of the table had eaten...and his order was wrong! This sounds too ridiculous to be true, but it is the truth. And E & E didnt so much as offer a complementary drink to the bride & groom. Sad, embarrassing, and absolutely unacceptable!
