Food had good taste. My salad was fresh, potatoes and fried okra great. BUT my porterhouse steak was waaaaaaay over done, dry n tough. We were really hungry and held out to stop here on our way back home from Miami. Wife had grilled chicken salad , that was good, ham and cheese sandwich was good, which my daughter ordered. My other daughter had a ribeye and it too was way over cooked , tough, and dry. Service was good. Umm may stop if Im passing through but won t go out of my way.

I decided to at least start my drive back home after presenting in Boca Raton by driving through the back roads of old Florida. I spent the night in an old motel in South Bay and found the Black Gold Steakhouse in Belle Grade. The restaurant was clearly a local feeding place. I found the staff friendly toward this lone stranger and the food cooked country style and appetizing.

Went for lunch, the atmosphere is good, clean place. The lunch portions are small but you can upgrade to dinner portion if hungry. Ordered grilled chicken breast with sweet potato fries and salad. Everything tasted very good. Other people on my party ordered fajitas, pork and chicken teriyaki and everything tasted very good. Good spot for food in Belle Glade.

Standard Southern offerings. Friendly but slow service. Smoked pork was great. Grilled chicken was dry, and all items on the menu are not available daily so please check with your server well before making any selections. Seemed to be a popular local luncheon place.

This diner is extremely old-fashioned in the best way! Their servers are friendly and compassionate, and they really make the place feel more homey. If you are looking for great food and better service, this is the place to go.

Huge & delicious prime rib!!! Crab cakes are great for someone like me ( no black pepper) , nevertheless, scrumptious.
