I saw so many good ratings I gave it a try as Im In D.C for one night and wanted to eat some good sushi. What a mistake! First of all, the food came an hour and a half after I ordered it. Still hoping they just made it, I was wrong again. It was cold as ******! I ordered the Shrimp tempura it was so cold and dry it was too gross to even slightly enjoy. I ordered a rock shrimp and if I can even explain how cold, dry, and too fried it was I would. The sushi tasted like it was leftover from the night before AND, they forgot my soda. What a terrible experience, I will not be ordering from this place ever again

Im a little particular about my sushi and although its not the best, its good. My order taste fresh, but for some reason just didnt wow me...with the exception of my tamago and unagi orders. They were perfect. I ordered through GrubHub because I was knee-deep in the weeds with work. Nevertheless, I did not like I had to come outside of my building to pick up my order. In the drivers defense, there were signs that said "No Parking", but was still a bit annoyed as I had to go downstairs twice as he wasnt there when he called me the first time. I might be tempted again.

Ordered it through grub hub because I was too lazy to drive and trying to recover. Fish was good and fresh and the price is consistent with isnt the norm for dc. The food arrived promptly and everything was there. My only snub is a common occurrence when you order spicy tuna rolls, they blend the fish. Not a fan of that because you know its the scraps. Otherwise meal was good and will have to eat at the restaurant at some point. Good spot and Im super particular about my sushi that I drove to Baltimore for my favorite sushi joint versus eating it in dc

My wife and I ordered delivery from this places Valentines Day Feb 14, 2015. Our order total was $50. We both ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with Tempura Shrimp. Our order finally arrived nearly 2 hours after ordering and the chicken and shrimp was literally refrigerator temperature and was probably made when we first ordered it and been sitting on the counter top for the last 2 hours. We were worried about food poisoning so we didnt eat our food. The restaurant only offered 15% refund.

Fun options for vegetarians, the kind you dont find at typical "cucumber roll, asparagus roll" sushi places: a crispy fried mushroom and cream cheese roll that was amazing, a sweet tofu and avocado roll that was nearly as amazing, and a dragon roll with asparagus and sweet potato topped with avocado that I sincerely regret not trying. Climb the short flight of stairs and be rewarded with a much more authentic experience than the dollar-sushi place a few doors down!

This place is an absolute hidden gem! The sushi is fantastic and you can sit at the bar and watch the chefs make it all right there. The service isnt anything to write home about, but you never have to wait. Very punctual, if anything. I come here at least once a week to try a new roll. Sometimes the chef will even surprise me with something new. Absolutely must go!

Ordered on Grubhub for delivery. Arrived 25 minutes after the end of the delivery window and refused to deliver to my 5th floor office so I had to go down to the street. Worst of all, the yakisoba is easily the worst Ive had. It doesnt appear that they use Tonkatsu in the sauce, which is the standard ingredient. Will never eat here again, do not recommend it at all.

Ordered some sushi for pick up. They said it would be ready in 10-30 min so I showed up 30 min later. Where I was ignored by the hostess for 5 min and then told to wait while she walked away. It took another 20 min sitting and waiting before I got my food. And the sushi was underwhelming. The rolls are covered in mayo sauces and the sushi cuts are poor.

There is a sign out front with the restaurants name, follow the stairs to the second floor of the building and youll find a cozy little space with a sushi bar and a few tables for small groups (2-4 people). We watched 3 chefs build orders behind the bar. Food was great and the space was quiet.

Ordered delivery because my usual spots were closed...the guy didnt come inside, he made me come to the car where he tried to force me to leave him a tip. I told him next time to DELIVER my food and he screamed that there wouldnt be a next time. More importantly, the food is before at best.

A decent place that is tucked away on the 2nd floor and is basically hidden in this forest of restaurants on Connecticut. Well worth a visit as the food was pretty good in my opinion, and quite good value and price for Japanese. Also I found the decor a bit nicer than usual for the area.

The food was good and seemed fresh. We ordered three dishes and they took a while to come out. The service wasnt very good, the waitress was in a hurry to clear the table and took away soups and salads before they were finished. The servers seemed impatient and made me feel rushed.

Amazing sushi. So fresh, the prawns were literally trying to escape off the counter. Some of the best Hashim Ive had in the city, and the mango mocha was out of this world :) I cant wait to come back here with friends!

Every experience here has been amazing. Love the staff; chefs are great- fun and treat the sushi just right. This place isnt over the top, snobby, or off-putting in anyway. Very welcoming, and fair priced!

The sushi here is absolutely phenomenal and the atmosphere is very charming, but a bit small. Overall, great service, delicious food, and fairly inexpensive.

Really great quality sushi. Had really good sea urchin sushi (really big pieces too). Special rolls were great. Definitely better than nearby Tono sushi.

Positives: the rolls were pretty good. Negatives: the place is terribly marked from the outside, and our server forgot part of our order..
