I visited Qdoba on 11th street on 7/18/09 between 3:00 pm -4:00 pm. As I was standing in line, the gentleman in front of me kept staring at the the wall dividing the patrons from those preparing the food. He suddenly sighed with disgust and hurried out of line. I looked at the wall to see two happy little cockroaches doing the dance of love , although the male cockroach failed to realize that the female was already preggers. I quickly alerted the staff that they needed to take care of their "insect problem" and the staff gave me a blank stare. They then old me that they couldnt stop at the moment, but thanked me for telling them. About 5-7 minutes later, a staff member went to the wall to look for said cockroaches, but alas they had scurried away to find a more private place to finish their business. I used to eat Qdoba everyday without fail, but after this incident, I will never feel safe eating a burrito again. I understand that Washington, DC is a major city and like most large cities, its natural to have pests. However, the cockroaches comfort in being seen in the light of day is highly disturbing. So if you notice that your burrito or taco has an extra crunch to it, think twice before taking another bite!!!

Ok, first off, I have no clue what the person before me was saying about "Rude, inept staff". Ive gone here at LEAST once a week for a year now and have never once come across any rude staff members- Ive always found them to be extremely polite and pleasant! Yea, sure, it seems like for a lot of them, Spanish IS their first language, so occasionally they may not understand what youre saying- but theyre always so courteous its hard to be upset with them. The food is great too- I always have a veggie burrito and I love it, its delicious, fresh and tasty and my friends seem to enjoy the meats quite a lot too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, especially if youre a university student with a student ID :) - free drink with your order and half price off an entree on Mondays! Its a great deal :)

@staff: there are people who are able to speak spanish eventhough they do not look like spanish/south american people. if you want to make rude comments about customers, who are paying for your salary, search for a new job. wrapping and creating a burrito is an art which they are not capable of doing. I dont want to bite in a thing which looks like a ball, first eating the complete sauce, then the dry rice, .. so each ingredient separate. however, the ingredients seemed to be fresh.

I have eaten at at least 8 Qdobas, and this one is pathetic, staffed with rude people, who cant even keep fresh food stocked to make the meals. They dont have a clue, nor do they care. If you desire at least a friendly staff, and the ability to order off the menu in front of you.. DONT COME HERE. I will never be back. You shouldnt either.

After all the recommendations, I decided today to try qdoba, and I hate to say it was awful. I am not sure if I picked the wrong day, but the rice was badly cooked. It was a doughy lump with grainy crispy uncooked rice. The other ingredients seemed ok, but the burrito is mostly rice. I was highly disappointed.

Taste like it was made by white people! In other words it is made and for the average white person. Touche, for inventing something that makes Taco Bell the Authentic representation of all Mexican Food. Are there any "real TEX MEX" joints in the greater DC area?

The setup is very similar to Chipotle, but I found the food to be much tastier. The staff at the one I went to near Metro Central Station had very nice staff and seemed clean. Overall I would definitely go there again and recommend it to friends.

Super efficient staff. The line could be to the door and you still get your food in just a few minutes. Good food if youre into fast casual Mexican, and very good service.
