I gave a couple stars because their food isnt bad. I just dont care for the way they run their business. I work nearby and used to go here occasionally. Ive noticed that their subs never have much meat on them, even though they charge $9. I recently ordered one of their Italian style subs. Even though the menu lists three different kinds of meats, mine was mostly salami with a little ham... that was it. I pointed out to the manager that the menu advertises three types of meat, and asked if there was a mistake,but he said they only make it with two, even though he is aware that the sign shows three. I dont appreciate what I consider to be a clear case of false advertising, which is dishonest in my opinion.

I love any place that serves a good chicken cutlet. :) Ive been to other "Italian Gourmet Deli" locations and I dont know if franchises just buy the name and logo or if they are more related. Because the Alexandria location is where I first went, the one in Dulles doesnt have chicken cutlets on the menu but they made me one anyway, and this one makes them with hot peppers standard. Anyway, the sandwiches are enormous, and delicious. Also would recommend the True Italian on a hard roll.

Food was excellent. I had the 10" Italian veggie pizza. Open airy restaurant. The kids also enjoyed their pizzas. My only problem, which is a major peeve for me, is when the staff started sweeping and using spray chemicals on the tables. My husband and I hurriedly finished our meals along with the kids and left. Next time if we return, we will order to go but definitely not stay.
