I wasnt initially displeased with my experience at LeShio, however by the abrupt end of our visit I can definitely say I will never return. The presentation of the chefs rolls that we ordered was very nice. The appetizers and basic rolls were just average. The size of the rolls were rather small compared to the cost. The atmosphere was ok but, not as elegant as the prices would indicate. Our server was abrupt and had a very difficult time taking our orders and the constant need to take our used plates was a little intrusive but, still she was cordial and prompt. I still tipped well and would have returned as it was a good time, that is until....this happened. We paid our bill, tipped and were just winding out the end of our visit, finishing our $10 cocktails when the manager walks up gives us the "times out" signal and very loudly and curtly states, "ok ladies, times up." We look at him quizically and get a " we closed, you leave, times up. Thank you goodnight." We chugged our drinks grabbed our bags and left. On the way out, I notice their sign says they close at 10. It was 10:08. Never after having spent $180 on a meal, should I be told my time is up and I need to leave. Id rather be treated kindly at Kooma, Jasmine, Mikimotos or the Asian House.

This restaurant is in the Fairfax Shopping Center on Concord Pike northbound, with southbound access at the traffic light intersection. Im not too fond of this strip mall at lunchtime on weekdays because it does tend to get packed and parking is barely enough at times, but that was not a problem on this Friday. The interior of Le Shio is dimly-lit and comfortable, although its funny that they arranged the overhead lighting to light up the center of each table. That could only be for food photography! :) Service was rather good this afternoon. Maybe Im getting on in years and becoming a bit hard of hearing, but the staff seem to be overly soft-spoken. Even though the dining area was relatively quiet today, I found it rather difficult to hear them. This could be an opinion forged by years of mediocre East Asian cuisine in this area, but I quite liked the salmon teriyaki bento box. The salmon was a decent portion size and the sauce and shu mai were tasty. Only the sushi part of the bento box wasnt terribly impressive. As a lunch special, the bento box wasnt overly expensive as well. They have complimentary WiFi.

My manicurist recommended LeShio....I was initially pleased with the modern look & price of my combo (2 maki rolls & Miso soup for $9)...great deal. I ordered takeout so I ordered at the hostess podium. The hostess had trouble understanding my order, even as I read verbatim from the menu. I ordered Yellowtail roll & spicy salmon roll, and she put the chicken special in the system... 0_o. Anyway, it was fine, got my order, got home, sushi was alright. Not very flavorful... Ive had better. But what was very disappointing was that after a few slurps of my soup, I saw a small gnat floating in the soup. I know that it was already in there because I had just taken the cap off the container. It was a small gnat and probably harmless, but that just made me question their kitchen area & the cleanliness. I may be OCD, idk, but Id prefer not to see bugs floating in my soup. Ill probably resume going to Mikimotos even though they are slightly more expensive.

Okay so we have been here several times before. We liked the taste of the food, the service and the vegetarian options. Its a bit pricey however has been worth it. This time was quite different. The waiter had communication issues, we could not get him to understand what we wanted. We made it clear no shrimp or crab and he brings out a meal with both shrimp and crab. On top of that my portion size was pea small. . My wife had the teriyaki, her portion size was normal however she did not like the taste . On the positive side the sushi was excellent. All in all Not worth the price. So sad to have to cross this one off my list however if I get desperate during the summer might have to revisit.

By far my favorite Asian restaurant. I have NEVER had a bad item here. If your feeling fancy order the Blackstone Roll. The fillet mignon melts in your mouth. The woks are great! Especially the Thai Basil sauce with some cashews and greenbeans. The chicken teriyaki is the perfect balance of flavor and juiciness. You cant go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu, and the service is always 10/10.

Le Shio is an "Asian fusion" restaurant that tries to do Thai, Japanese, and Americanized Chinese cuisine, but doesnt hit it out of the park with any of them. The food tends to be greasy, and salt or hot peppers are used in place of actual seasoning and spices. The staff is standoffish, and the pricing is unreasonably high.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning and a great place for a date. the lighting is a dim and with a relaxed ambiance. my girlfriend likes sweet drinks and ordered a naughty lemonade. i tried it and it was pretty good. not nearly as sweet as expected. the best part was hearing her order something naughty in public!

This is consistently the best place to get the highest quality Japanese and Asian fusion food in the entire state. Its always crowded but they really churn out the food without compromising quality of product or service. The wait staff and hostesses are absolutely accomodating and go the extra mile every time.

You will not regret eating here. Im not a big sushi eater, and I left here thinking this was probably one of the best meals Ive had in my life. No exaggeration. I fell in love with sushi because of Le Shio. I was planning my return before I paid the check. Enjoy!

If there is better sushi in the vincinity, let me know. Always pleased with quality and the service. The evening bartender always goes the extra mile. If you are not up to trekking into Philly (or Wilmington for that matter) I would recommend.
