Sushi was great , ate here for lunch a couple of days ago advised waiter of my sons food allergy...no problem... ordered to go... Advised restaurant my son was allergic to shrimp and crab asked to have his spicy tuna sushi placed in a separate container they didnt, left out the spicy salmon, from the maki combo, when I called and advised them the manager asked, rudely, asked what can he do and told me to file a police report, and after I get the bill from the insurance company bring it to him and his manager will settle this, wouldnt give me the name of the owner and rudely hung up on me, after I spent $72.65 at the restaurant...food was good but wont risk another episode of allergic reaction, and having to sit in the ER for 2-3 hours... WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN ... NOT VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY

I live about 20mins away from Rice but will make the drive for the sushi at least once a week! Not only is their sushi great but their food is amazing too. I like that their dishes are not loaded with butter or sauce that takes away from the dish itself. The service is great too, very nice people. The prices are resonable too considering what other sushi places charge. However, do not let the outside of this place or where it is located steer you away. The first time I saw the outside I was like "ummm, no, Im not eating fish there" but as soon as you walk in, its a beautiful place and the food is fresh! Hope this helps! Enjoy!

The first time my fiancé and I went here we went to try out the sushi, which was alright. Nothing to go bananas about. The second time we came to the place was for his relative birthday the guy immediately sat us down. We had sushi for the appetizer which was okay. The food wasnt to my liking. The broccoli was a bit hard to chew. The food wasnt to good to me and my fiancé so we didnt finish it. When we received the bill the waiter told us how much we should tip which was not prefessoinal at all. Wont be going back to this place!

Best restaurant in Dover possibly in the state of Delaware at least my husband and I think so. Prices are reasonable and they even have tempura ice cream not on the menu but they will gladly make it for you. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Lunch specials are some of the best in town try the sweet and sour chicken or the bento box youll be sure to come back for more. The only downfall I see is that it is small and can get crowded on a busy night so go there early. Sushi is also really yummy try the hot lover roll.

Its tiny. Theyre always packed. The food is delicious but overpriced. The staffs service significantly declines halfway through their very tiny max capacity. Try the new place down and around the corner from this place. Theres PLENTY of space and the staff was almost too friendly, making me curiously suspicious. I was just not used to the positivity and niceness that service in the USA (in general) blatantly lacks. They even offered me a hot towel off a silver platter. In Bumfck, Delaware?! Unheard of!

My husband and I went to the restaurant on 7/29/2015 The food was horrible, we got a mixture of things and everything was bad. The calamari was chewy and no flavor, rainbow roll smelled horrible like the fish was bad, the seaweed salad had a horrible tangy taste, Curry Shrimp was way too spicy, the shrimp roll was chewy NOT crunchy, and the crab Rangoons had a horrible taste. We will not be eating here again. The staff was very standoffish and gave take out orders bad looks.

We have been here twice. The first time it took 10 minutes for anyone to come over initially. Meanwhile, there was only one other table in the whole restaurant with 8 staff standing around. The second time, we left after 10 minutes...same people standing around. The other Rice in Wilmington is so much better...great versions of the same dishes, superior service, etc. Im surprised that this location is able to stay open with the poor service and the emptiness

We used to go to this place because we loved the food. But when we came back one day there were three of us, we immediately noticed that the place was pack so we decided to sit down right in the front to wait.. We waited for about 15mins. Nobody said anything to us not even a simple hi. Until, there were another group of three people who just came but for some reason, they helped them first and did not even acknowledge that we got there first.

I recently visited this establishment with my wife upon her return from a yr deployment in Afghanistan. Its difficult to find a pleasant atmosphere and actually get good service in the same location. Rice did it for me... instantly. Staff was friendly, food was good, location (on the other hand) was odd, but easily accessible. If they expanded and put another location in a more "respectable" location, I would give it 6 stars.

They are just nasty. Workers were digging in their nose eating boogers & digging in their teeth for what .. I dont know ! Yes, all in one night !! I demanded a refund , the owners wouldnt give me my money . So I called the cops . Worst place in Dover,De ! Just gross !!!!!!!!!! Save your money and go somewhere else or eat boogers . I wouldnt give them a star but I had to , so I could let the public know . You are welcome!

I loved this restaurant. Though small it is very neat and has a great atomosphere. The presentation was great, the food tasted excellent, and the waiter was friendly. I usually do not like sushi or raw fish, but actually found it interesting and pretty good here. Where usually you feel like your food was cooked for a mass production, here you feel like the chef cooked it just for you.

I was initially wary about eating here as most places that offer two types of food (in this case Chinese and Japanese) typically prepare one well and the other not so much. I have been pleased to find that everything I have ordered from either menu has been delicious. Prices are good. The only drawback is that the dining area is small and cramped, so we usually get it to go.

The sushi is O-K. Over-all it has very low-grade food. The sushi is okay overall, but good for being dover delaware. The prices are awesome, You can get like 3 maki for 12 dollars. Portions are about average. If you want good sushi, go to new york. The chairs/tables are relatively small, so if you are a bigger person you may not want to sit in the corner.

I have been going to Rice for almost a year. Their sushi is over the top. Its not just the normal; "heres a dragon roll", but they do have the regular sushi youll see at other sushi shops too. I recommend the "fortune island," or the "Funky Monkey," and youll understand what I mean. They also have great Asian dishes. Youll like what you see.

Service was ok, had to hunt the waiter down a few times. Food was fresh and tasty. Ambiance was lackluster and tacky. The food was just ok for me. Ive had better at a food truck. Ill give my date 5 stars...Our good conversation made up for the uncreative decor. Will visit again, only if they improve service and design.
