Roaches in the kitchen, I found some in the food my daughter and I were eating. I put the plate with the roach in the noodles on the counter, at first she started to imply that I still had to pay the bill, it looked and sounded like she started to ring us up, we had barely eaten anything before I found it. I said were leaving and we walked out. This was yesterday, August 3rd 2016. Anyone who says that this place is better than king buffet is lying, I wish I had taken my daughter there instead. The only reason we went to chinatown buffet was because she was going birthday shopping at toys r us. *Since I cant reply to their response Ill add it here. Where you find one roach, there are hundreds more you cant see. Those were german roaches, the kind that infest. And I saw you ringing up something when I grabbed my daughters hand and walked out. Though, you are not the cook, therefore not responsible for the quality of the food. If you get fired, your boss is an idiot. *No, restaurants here get closed down (temporarily) for roaches if the health department finds out. Most restaurants do not have roaches. No one knows who you are, how exactly would that effect you getting another job? The only thing I see effecting your job right now is arguing with a customer for giving this restaurant a bad review. No one likes to eat roaches.

Not a 4.0 star: staff 5, food 2, atmosphere 4, restroom 2 Was searching for a place to eat after the NASCAR race with at least a 4 star rating. Found this place and had a 4 star expectation. First was greeted with friendly staff. Had to use the mens restroom; it was quite disgusting. The 2 urinals and 1 toilet was badly stained. Went to the get food and was only offered a limited amount of choices. Sushi choices was a joke; no raw fish of any kind. The flavor of the food was edible only a 2 star equivalent, not a 4 star. Im not sure if the previous reviewers had better chef but it certainly is not a 4 star restaurant. Even though the food was not all that great and the restroom was disgusting, I have to say the staff offered a 5 star experience! They didnt just snatch your plates they asked if you where done before taking them. They also didnt immediately give you the bill when you get dessert, a lot of other buffets tend to do. Cant say I recommend this establishment, even though the staff was great. Good luck on your search.

I just went to the restaurant to check if they open or not today, because they closed for rebuilding when I passed by twice last month. I was so excited that they were already re-open on Dec. 6th, 2014. It looks so beautiful that I am surprised how they could do a good job in a month. It was just remodeled and everything is new. The pretty restroom is also very clean. They built additional food bars and sushi bar where a guy always stays to make fresh sushi. My favorite is the salad bar which has more choices of fruit and salad. I can tell it is the best restaurant in Dover, DE now, even in kent county. It becomes much better and bigger than before. They also have a huge party room for big groups, like wedding party, church party, birthday party etc. I want to say the food is delicious and deserving 5 star, not only for kinds of food, but also for the service from waitress. Girls are nice to me and greeting to every customer who is coming and leaving. I love it and will come back.

This place is very rude and racist. as soon as my party walked in the restaurant, another customer said to us that the place was racist and does not like black people. We shrugged it off because we have been going there for years as students. Well it didnt take long for us to find out what the other customer was talking about. the server came to our table telling us to "pay now" over and over really aggressive. Standing over our food yelling for us to pay now. We were still on our first plate of food. There were other non black customers there and this was not being done to them. They paid after they were finished eating. We spoke to the manager and of course they did not care. The customers family who approached us when we arrived, said that was exactly to them. We have never experienced anything like that before, and will never come back here again.

Had OKAY experiences here in the past. But the staff hangs over you and stares. The food isnt that great, and I always leave wishing I had gone somewhere else. KING BUFFET down the highway is 100 times better than this place has ever been. Ive been going there for over 10 years and have never been displeased with the food or service. Anyone or anything that says Chinatown is better is flat out lying, or has never tried King Buffet. On top of all that, my wife and daughter just went to Chinatown for my daughters birthday, and found a dead roach in some noodles. I know things like that could accidentally happen, but the waitress acted like she couldnt care less and walked away. Will never, EVER go again.

Food was not as good as stated. Bland at the least. The waitress was fantastic though. However on my way out I left a sizable tip in cash. Proceeded to pay and the lady at the counter on her phone all so loud stood there ignoring me. She just stuck her hand out, didnt even acknowledge me standing there. No hello or how was your meal. Just proceeded to talk and laugh and yell. As I signed the receipt she hovered, still talking away, to read what I left as a tip. SHE got frustrated and started cursing me for no tip on there. Really? Yea I understand what you said. Absolutely rude!! Will not eat out there again!

Awesome customer service. Super friendly and attentive. Best seaweed salad of all the buffets Ive been too. The soup isnt too salty or sweet either. Very nice place to have dinner at. Reasonable price; awesome place to enjoy good price seafood during their specials. Also, very clean from the several times weve been there in the last 5 months. Definitely worth trying.

My husband left a tip on the table in cash. As he was signing the receipt at the register he drew a line thru the tip section. The waitress mumbled something in her native language and the guy behind the counter leaned way over to see what my husband was writing. At that point my husband said "I left the tip on the table". For that reason alone we will not go back.

This place didnt even deserve one star!! I had to do it to post the review. WARNING do NOT eat here!! Food was terrible service was terrible. The food made my husband sick and they complain on how much u eat and want to up charge for food I didnt eat!!! Still charged us for everything. I will not be back. I strongly encourage u not to waste your money!!

I gave one star only for the fact that when I was with my friends, (We were all about 16-19 yrs. old) They harassed us all at the end for tips. Like about 3 of them literally came to the table and were like "Tip? Tip? Tip?" And stood over our shoulders until we tipped them. So thats why Im giving one star.
