The food was decent and service was ok. 2 adults, 6pm on Friday, our bill was about $40. Our order was Beef ribs with Apple sauce and mashed potatoes as well as a steak special. Both orders came with the option to eat from the salad bar and we were served fresh rolls with butter. Drinks included 2 pints of beer. I think the rolls may be homemade and they were probably the best part of our meal. The ribs were cooked well and fell off the bone. However, they werent seasoned and were slathered in a bland BBQ sauce. The mashed potatoes and gravy were lacking good flavor and the Apple sauce was just treetop or something out of a can/jar. My steak was ordered medium and came out very rare. It had to be returned to the kitchen to cook a bit more. It looked fantastic but was lacking any seasoning. The sides consisted of curly fries and coleslaw. The fries were standard restaurant, frozen fries. The coleslaw was too finely shredded and chopped, served very soupy, and tasted a little too strong of cabbage (like it was old cabbage). The salad bar is okay, nothing big, but it has salad. The initial server was a young gal, she was sweet and clearly still learning. Our waitress, however, was older. While her service was okay, she came off quite bitchy. My biggest complaint is that they have a separate side that seems like its where families would sit and that no kids should be allowed in the bar area. We had one couple with a baby right behind us and it was distracting and annoying. As parents who were kid free for dinner, we thought we were dining in a kid free environment, as the other side was full of families. Guess we were wrong?! We may try this place again, as its close to where we live, and just to give it a second chance.

Stopped by for the first time with my daughter and my little grandson. Delicious soup and sandwiches at a reasonable price. Service was very friendly too. Since my daughter moved to Pleasant Mount we will be going here more often. No reason to drive to Honesdale.

The chicken dish I got was lacking in flavor. It needs to be seasoned and not just with the Swiss and bland, canned mushrooms. Also, do not go here for atmosphere, the dining area looks like a cafeteria.

Low prices, pleasant staff, and a great atmosphere make this a great little quaint restaurant! Id go there more often but it is a rather remote location to say the least.

I wasnt impressed with the food at all. They are known for their chicken...not sure how. Decent beer options in the cooler and very reasonable pricing

Rustic and warm. The food is excellent as in the price. Comfortable atmosphere. with a large bar and great people. Well worth the trip from anywhere.

They have a great prime rib bar atmosphere is nice and on special occasions three or four times a year they set up a buffet and you eat for nothing
