Many years ago my wife and I were looking for a local diner to eat dinner after church and since the Quinton Diner was just up the road we decided to give it a try. I don’t remember a lot about those early visits other than the one thing that might have kept us coming back for a couple years was the décor such as the mural of an earlier era in downtown Quinton that was painted on the wall that helped to give the diner a hometown feeling. As the years went by and we started attending another church that was way over on the other side of the county and so our dining options changed even to where we would go over the bridge for a meal when the toll wasn’t so high. Not living in Quinton we did sill drive through on the way to Walmart or the DMV in Salem as well as other work related issues and were a little saddened when we saw that the diner had closed. When it did reopen the first time I was doing some work on some ones house and talked with them about the diner but was given a bad review of it so I did not bother checking it out any further. As the years have gone by I have noticed a few different times it has tried to reopen but with the same fate as the original. When I noticed last spring that they had once again reopened under a new name I decided that one of these days I was going to stop in and see just how they were. That day finally came this past Saturday when I needed to run to Salem to get my vehicle registration so I knew I was finally going to be able to check them out. The past few months I have visited several diners in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York and have actually been writing reviews of the places I have been just to let others know about what my opinion is of them. If you have read any of my other reviews you might have seen that I was never planning on giving any diner more than a four star rating. That was until now as you can see I have given Andy’s five based on the following items that have annoyed me at other places but as of this first visit with the exception of one minor problem I did not see or experience any of these bothers. As I have said in other reviews since we lost my wife five years ago I have been eating out alone a lot especially when I do not need to make a meal for my kids and usually when being seated a hostess will see you are alone and stick you at a table that is so small you don’t have any room to relax. Upon walking in here though the young lady seated me at a regular booth type table that was a very comfortable seat for a diner. I was able to place an order for my coffee and meal that both came out quickly and had a very good taste to both the breakfast and coffee. This though is the only “complaint” that I had and that was with the coffee cups which if you have read any of my reviews you will see that I prefer a cup where you can at least get two fingers through the handle, the one here I could not even get one so I had to hold the hot cup around the perimeter. Another high point of the meal was the staff who were all extremely friendly and took time to talk to the other customers as well as me about whatever it was they felt like talking about. When the food was brought out it was not just tossed on the table while they were rushing to the next one but was set down and then I was asked if everything was okay. I do plan on returning hopefully for lunch or dinner but I hope I do not need to change my review to reflect that visit and can look forward to finally having another place close to home where when I don’t feel like cooking I can run out and grab a good meal.

During our visit there, the food and service were fine. The staff was attentive and friendly. The negativity began while leaving. After being presented with the incorrect bill at check out, one less than half my bill, I had the hostess check it out and she then brought up my bill. This was after she had already charged me for the first one. She said she would fix it and it should be fine. However, when I looked at my card statement it showed that I had paid for both meals. I contacted the management and they said to stop by for the refund, (Why it couldnt be done electronically is beyond me)! My wife stopped there and was told that the manager wasnt there and that the staff did not have authority to do the refund. After phone contact with the manager, he was supposedly going to do the refund electronically, but it never showed up. My wife stopped there again, but still no manager and the staff unable to handle a $12.82 refund. It isnt worth the effort to continue this back and forth for such a small amount. If Andys management needs it that badly they can keep it and their business.

I love their food! Their breakfast food is to die for! I did have a mishap with one of my Dishes but the waitress and the owner was so understanding and they let me get a different dish, which was completely amazing. I took some to work and my co-workers were raving over the chicken Alfredo. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone in the area!

Andys in Quentin, known locally by the name of the old Quentin Diner that was the previous establishment, is good but pricy if youre trying to eat a satisfactory meal on a diet and counting calories. A coffee, plain egg white omelet with a side of roasted turkey and a bowl of soup escalated to about $20.

Nice simple menu. I opted for just a bowl of broccoli soup and it was great, hot, with plenty of whole fresh broccoli.
