UPDATE -- I checked my card statement and Little Barn WENT BACK and charged my card the full amount. Unbelievable! Scummy, scummy business -- Long story short, terrible service.Drove past this place for months, was excited to finally check it out. I was with my little sister, who is 13 y/o. When she ordered the grilled cheese off of the kids menu (still par for the course for a 13 year-old), the waitress offered her the adult portion, but we declined, as a kids portion is better suited for her. When we got the bill, they charged us for the adult grilled cheese. No biggie, or so I thought, Id just clear it up with the waitress (who was nice enough). When I asked for the waitress, the man who seated us came over, and I explained the situation. He said, "we dont charge adults kids prices. 12 and under, as it says on the menu." In all my dining experience (which often includes me, a grown woman, ordering off of the kids menu), this 12 and under rule has never been enforced. Yes, it is a common clause on the kids menu, but never enforceable to the point of dispute. And as I said, my sister is t h i r t e e n. Hardly ineligible. After explaining that the waitress never ever distinguished a price/portion consequence for ordering off of the kids menu, and after clarifying that my sister is 13, he finally gave in and adjusted the bill. He was short, rude, crass and overall just arrogant. When we came in orginally to be seated, he made eye contact with me several times and did nothing about it. I had to approach him. We were a young group, yes, but the blatant disrespect is uncalled for. Will not go back...too bad, because the food was decent!

We had some decent burgers at the Little Barn on Sunday and everything was fine until my credit card was charged by the waitress on duty (initials K.E) and the receipt was brought to the table for my signature. To my surprise, the total had miraculously ballooned from the $40.31 we were responsible for to a miraculous $59.29. I ended up asking why the huge discrepancy and an apology was provided, but it all left a bad taste in my mouth (whats the game here?). All in all, decent food but it doesnt make sense for customers to maintain a laser focus on the amounts charged on their credit cards like that as we just want to enjoy the food and experience.

Atmosphere was nice and rustic but thats as far as compliments go. I hate one of my favorite dishes, lobster mac and cheese. Very disappointed in kraft-like taste. My husband had the bacon egg and cheese flavorless burger. My presumption of westport dining is pretty high but this place was truly a disappointment. Very friendly staff despite quality of food.

Apparently if youre from out of state you need to have your passport or another form of photo ID with you to drink.. I grew up in Westport and live in California now. Its not cool to be turned away from a bar because the bartender is not ABC certified to check and OK a valid state ID.

My family and I are from south Alabama traveling with a small breed dog (dachshund) up the east coast, and they were very happy to accommodate us with sitting in their porch area. More importantly, the food and the staff was excellent. Highly recommended restaurant. 5*

This place stinks. Given it a third try and each time it gets worse. Minimal food for high prices and the waiter never came to ask how food was, never smiled, never gave us refills, and took forever to wait on us. AND THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. Will not go back again.
