We went for Saturday Lunch buffet and basically we were Vegetarians. First of all, the servers arent aware of what they were serving. when we were inquired about drinks, we suggested lassy and when we asked abt flavors, he said there are no flavors, but he brought us Mango lassy !!!! The appetizer selection was good, with pani puri and other stuffs. The vegetarian items were relatively less compared to Non-vegetarian items. The Medhu vada was actually hard vada, which didnt even spare to our stainless steel forks. literally we had to use our teeth to tear it. They had labelled a dish called Sambhar, which is not Sambhar actually. It was a soup with all vegetables in it and it didnt even resemble 10% of traditional south Indian Sambhar. I had a debate with my wife for Jeera Rice which she advocated as Pulav. Bottomline, that dish was neither Jeera rice nor Pulav. it was some kind of rice. All the vegetarian curries (Navratan kuruma/Potato dish) were bitter and I suspect the chef used the same oil which was used for Non-Vegetarian items. If my suspicion is right, I think I have every right to sue the restaurant. Last but not the least, the dessert (rice pudding and gulob jamun) was made out of desert sand. No sugar, No texture and we somewhat satisfied with Globe Jamun, coz the size was too huge. My intuition says the Chef is not of Indian Origin as I didnt see any traces of Indian Chefs mastery, either in Spiciness or Varieties. To support my intuition, through out my presence, I didnt see any local Indians. If you really want to know "how not to cook", you can visit this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant when I have come to watch a telugu movie (Leader) from Albany, NY. As a typical south indian (Hyderabadi), I did not like the taste at all... I felt its more americanized... However the place looks great! service is good. ambiance is good. people working there gave good response. Actually we were in a hurry for movie and they understood that and brought our dishes very quickly. I would strongly recommend this for non-indians who would like to get introduced to Indian food. To, Indians(at the least Southies) - search else where :-) I dont know much about this area...

I have been to this restaurant quite many times and I have always loved the food they serve. The lunch buffet is cheaper compared to the quality and number of food items they serve. If you love spicy food then you must try their "Paani Puri". Loved it. During summer I never missed to have a glass of "Mango Lassy". Staffs are very polite and they deliver in time. I wish they had some music running in the background though. You could at least give their food one try, I am pretty sure you will love it.

Awesome. I love eating at this place or getting take out. The food is so freaking good I could eat it just about every day. We actually at there twice in one day, and if they served breakfast we would have eaten there 3 times. This is a place to go for great Indian food, and great service.

This is my favorite spot for Indian in the West Hartford/Hartford area. The food is flavorful with many delicious vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and attentive. Delivery is FAST! They are on GrubHub. They frequently offer coupons. Google them and print it out, theyll accept it.

I have ordered food from here a few times now and it has been consistently good quality. When you ask for a certain spice level, they actually deliver the appropriate spice level. The orders have been correct, the portions are large, and they were on time with the delivery

Ambience is good, Taste of Food is average, Sambhar, vegetable Briyani and deserts are pathetic. I tried only buffet. I dont recommend to all, since they bit racist, dont even bother to greet/welcome you. They greet only North Indian / Hindi speaking people

The food and service is outstanding! All staff are exteemely polite and customer friendly! The salmon dish is a killer!! To those indians here complaining that it is not "authentic" get a life and cook your own food at home and dont go out!

Avoid! The food is not at all authentic Indian. Called up to ask what is on the buffet menu and the guy hung up the phone on me saying he is very busy and that I should call later. What kind of a response is this from a restaurant owner!

Even on a Saturday night, the speed of service was excellent. The staff was friendly and well informed, and even though the dining area is small I didnt feel one bit crowded. Definitely would return next time Im in the area!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area, hands down! Lamb Paatia (mango) is my favorite dish and the naan kulcha (onion stuffed) is not to be missed! Come and bring your friends to share all the deliciousness.

I drive from 4 towns to get Indian food only from Taste of India. It always hits the spot & the service is wonderful whether you are eating in or just getting carry out. No place better in CT!

I ordered two mango lassi and their taste was super awkward. I told the restaurant about it and they wouldnt return the money. They would only give extra food free. Otherwise the food is ok.

Had a quick lunch buffet during a weekday. Though first glance looks not many items in buffet, but overall variety is decent, food is tasty, not very oily or spicy. Overall very satisfied.

Incredibly polite staff. Went here on a first date and enjoyed the experience very much. Chicken tikka masala is amazing and naan is also extremely good. Reasonably priced as well.

This is the worst Indian Restaurant I ever visited. They dont bother if you are not "white". This includes Indians. Never visit or order anything from them. Food was horrible.

They are not serving Indian food, They are serving some edible things with Indian Masala added. Authentic Indian foods quality & taste is nowhere near to it.

This is probably my favorite place in West Hartford to have lunch. The all-you-can-eat buffet always has excellent food, and the service is always very good.

Delicious food, very hospitable service, but a rather long wait time (about 45 minutes for entrees). I would definitely eat here again, despite the wait.

They absolutely nail the spice meter. If you like spicy, they will deliver. The buffet is rather small but decent quality for lunch times.

The lunch buffet is the best. The staff always treat me and my family well. They even give my kids free mango shakes - very nice of them.
