I found this hotel to be okay, not as good as other Marriotts I have stayed at. No complimentary breakfast, no water bottles in the room, and very bright lights shining in from the courtyard in the middle of all of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, but we had a king bed and the TV was awkwardly placed on the wall to the left of the bed so it couldnt be seen from the bed. The room was clean and we didnt have much trouble with noise, however the light was annoying and the shuttle was not running. There is free wifi. It was a short distance from Oakdale theater and from nearby vineyards like Gouveia and Paradise Hills. The ladies in reception were pleasant. Overall, okay experience.

I have spent 15 nights in the first half of 2014 (25 nights in the last year). I find the staff helpful, the rooms clean, and the location fine based on my business in Wallingford. There is not a buffet for breakfast, but the menu ordered food in plentiful and good. The prices are high but I am from South Carolina so I may be out of my element. I have not had any problems with the odor of smokers in any of my trips (6+). I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I have not used the pool but have seen many appear to enjoy it (kids especially). For those in the know, the ducks are great to see. Staying again tomorrow (8/6/14) for 3 days.

McDaniel Time Sheets
Not horrible, but we stay in a whole lot of Marriotts each month. I think our sheets were clean, but we found several pieces of hair (one long dark human hair and the rest short black like dog fur) in our bed. I ALWAYS pull down the comforter to check for stains and bed bugs. I think the hairs were just stuck from the washer (I hope) and not reused sheets. Not very impressed by this Courtyard by Marriott. It just felt dirty to me and things like paint jobs were sloppy and not done well, giving the feeling that no one cared to take the time to so things "right." It had the feeling of a cheaper hotel that you may get murdered at.

I cant say enough positive about this little hotel. We called because we live out of state and had a terminally ill family member at the nearby medical center. From the kindness and helpfulness of the desk staff with that first call to check room availability to the cleaning staff, everyone went out of their way to be helpful. The room was spacious and quiet and they were flexible about our departure date when we checked in because we did not know how long we would be staying. At a very difficult moment in our lives, this staff gave us the feeling of having a home away from home.

I fluctuated between a 3 and a 4 star rating for this hotel. The rooms were acceptably clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is a bit tired. Worn and torn carpeting in places, slow clunky elevator, etc. The pool itself and the area are quite small. The parking situation is pretty poor as youre likely to be parking far from an entrance then walking to a centrally located elevator on your wing. Staff was helpful and courteous. Overall just an average experience for the money. Especially when compared with the really lovely Hilton Garden Inn located just up the road.

It was definitely a fine hotel. I suppose it was a little odd that the breakfast wasnt complimentary but I was told (having not paid myself) that it was a result of the wedding discount (i.e. we got a discount on the room and therefore were less availed of the usual benefits)....but again a fine hotel. I only rated 4 stars just because Ive previously had experiences that surpassed all expectations but I do wanna be clear in that I truly think my experience here was not bad at all. It just didnt blow my mind. Which is of course just fine

About what youd expect from a Courtyard. Parking situation isnt great, especially considering the strange, disconnected layout of the hotel, but its manageable. Youll have a spot, you just way have to walk around inside the hotel to the other side before going up. The rooms themselves are the standard new Courtyard style, most with balconies of varying width from barely fitting a chair to a more usable size. Main complaint is just that the water pressure in showers needs some help.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2014. My only issue was the breakfast cafe. Since they charge for breakfast, I just wish that they had better food instead of the pre-packaged microwave-heated fare, and fruit that wasnt quite ripe yet. More importantly however, the room was comfortable and the staff was extremely nice. I especially liked that each room has its own balcony. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, but find someplace else to eat.

Nice room and place, but our card was charged $10 for extras we never used, I called once a few days after the stay, and, confirmed with them we used no extras, and that the charge would come off the card in 5 - 10 days. Four weeks later, it was still on my card. When I called about it, I was told they had no record of the charge, so they couldnt reverse it. I have had to file a dispute with my credit card company.

Very friendly check in they had my room ready early. As I was checking I was offered a cup of coffee while getting my room key another associate made that for me. Room was very clean and comfortable. When I got dinner the service was quick and friendly and helpful to my diet needs. Same at breakfast and I will be staying there again.

They double charged my card. But I am going through the process of removing second charge. Room was OK, but not great. Breakfast was OK, but not great. Pool was dirty. Our bathroom had pee stains all over the floor next to the toilet. We come to CT a lot, and I am sure I will never stay at this place again.

THERE ARE NO NONE SMOKING ROOMS!!!! Upon getting to my room I was overcome with the nauseating stench of cigarettes. After going to the front desk and complaining he gave us a room with a less offensive odor, although the smell of nicotine was still present. In addition there is no breakfast Buffett.

What can I say Courtyard hasnt let me down yet. Great hotel, friendly staff, room was clean and they have lots of parking. These hotels are really a great chain I havent been let down yet. They have a pool, gym and an area to print. Slept well and the staff is very friendly.

The hotel was renovated in 2011 with a nicer lobby and a cafe/bar that serves made-to-order breakfast that rivals most coffee shops. Having a good meal onsite meant that we could eat breakfast in our room while we got ready instead of having to drive to a local coffee shop.

Location is great, right off the highway. Its affordable and the accommodations are very pleasant. No breakfast, but there is a nice bistro in the lobby. Rooms were clean and pleasant as is the usual with Marriott. Overall, loved it!

Easy access from 91. Couldnt get ice down stairs, ice maker out, was told to walk upstairs to get it. Went to get lunch around Bistro today but only open for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are okay. Lobby was clean.
