Driving by this place you might never ever stop. The place is a dump outside with a capital D. Two picnic tables only that dont even match and are rickety very little parking and Rusty and decrepit things everywhere. Walk inside theres a little counter with stools to sit at and the usual scattering of menus and specials posted haphazardly all over the glass partition that separates you from the kitchen. You contemplate what you want on the menu and then you talk to Ethan. Ethan has a personality that everyone should have when dealing with the public. He is very accommodating very polite and he is a good choice for the lead man for to meet customers. He asked all the right questions of what I might want with our meal. Being a vegetarian I could only have the french fries which were very very good. My daughter and her friend had the wings. Ethan was very smart to ask if we wanted the buffalo sauce on the side to dip because it was a little bit hot. Ive never seen wings like this that looks somewhat like fried chicken. The two 13 year old girls I was with ordered 10 wings. 30 minutes later they went inside and ordered another 10 wings they were that good. I live nowhere near this place but I signed up for rewards cuz Im sure Ill be back. Even though I can probably only eat the french fries and the like because everything else is meat I know the kids and the wife and anybody else I happen to be with will absolutely love this place. If it had any decorative knick knacks instead of junk piled high along with some type of landscaping Id rate this place five stars for roadside food. But because you feel like youre sitting in a junkyard eating I simply cant. You would think after being in business for 25 years the guy would spend a little cash on curbside appeal. So when you go plan on bringing your own chair to sit by your car and tailgates because Im pretty sure the two picnic tables will be taken. But what a tailgate you will have.

I have driven past this lil shack countless times w/o paying no mind yet always seeing cars in the lot. I was starvin so I decided why the heck not n pulled up to this rundown looking dive. Walked up to the counter and ordered a "Zoar Burger" and was pleasantly surprised at what was offered up. It came with a 1/4lb run of the mill patty(no wagu or special blends of meats/seasonings)sprinkled w/ a lil s&p n seared hot-n-juicy. What really makes this is what surrounds this slab of beef...Super crisp bacon, melted slice of cheese, leafy green lettuce, solid tomato slices, thick cut pickle chips, ketchup n brown mustard all on a fresh bakery roll add up to make this a hit! Definitely worth the pit stop and the fries being on point are just a bonus!!

Im SO glad this place is still here! Back in the 30s - 70 my grandparents had a summer camp on three acres off Bradley Rd.. Coming or going to and from Camp, stopping here for a burger made it all the more special. In all these years since, I have never found a burger that was as savory and delicious as these!! The last opportunity I had to stop by was in 1987 - and I was thrilled to find that the taste was the same! The taste that, as a child, I would turn down lobster dinner for to stop here! I only hope that the recipe went to the new owners in 1993 so that other children growing up near this place might have some of the same fond (incomparable) life-long memories to relish as they, too, grow old.

Discovered this place by accident many years back when they offered something like 60 different flavors of soft serve ice cream - which we loved! They no longer do this, but for a quick bite, its surprisingly good (though I am not sure how healthy). Their chili rocks, and milk shakes are always a hit with the kids. Family size fries are enormous.

Been going here for 10+ years. Great local place for burgers and dogs. If you are looking for cheap fast food chain type of place this is not for you. Mike takes a great deal of pride in providing quality food and drive in style service. The few times my wife and I have had issues with the food we have let him know and he fixes it immediately.

Not bad for a burger shack! Id recommend having more ice cream flavors and adding more seating if possible, since your only option is basically to sit outside or sit on a tiny counter inside. If this place renovated and added a patio right on the water (and BYOB), Id be there all the time.

Found this place totally at random while on a road trip getting lost on purpose in New England. One of the places that really sticks out in my mind as having been a great off-the-beaten-path find. The next time Im up there, Im definitely going to drive out to this place again.

If youre looking for "fast" food this isnt the place to go. It takes time for them to make your order since everything is made to order. The burgers are great, my husband and I always have the Zoar burger and sweet potato fries. Its messy but sooooo good.

Ótimo atendimento, boas opções de lanche rápido. Para ver o logo precisa voltar em direção a represa e descer.

The menu is ridiculously massive, along with their list of flavors for shakes. Their self titled Lake Zoar Burger is one of the best burgers out there. Maybe its how simple it is or its probably just the ghost of Zoars recipe, who knows.

One of CTs hidden gems! I used to stop here weekly when I worked in Monroe, and I still consider it worth the trek out from new Haven. Its an unpretentious drive in that just plain makes a damn good burger

This place is a hidden gem along the route. Food is excellent, atmosphere is unique 80s style. The lake next to it is perfect to chill out for entire day. Recommended!
