Rose is a horrible manager, bad service. I totally agree with Ecp. I went there on 3/13 and there were plenty of tables open. We had 4 of our 6 people there and she would not sit us down and was rude about it. Our other guests canceled on us and so we got seated for 4. A 5th person came later unexpectedly and joined us. (So it really didnt make sense why we couldnt get seated in the first place.) After our drinks, meals, and deserts, we got the check. I payed for it and tipped on top. When I got home I looked over the receipt and noticed that they included gratuity in the check automatically and we ended up giving the server a $70 tip on a $185 bill. Called back to get a refund and Rose was totally condescending and told me it wasnt their fault so they cant do anything about it. She said, sorry, you made the mistake in a demeaning voice. What a B****!

Food is always great. They have two sister places, one prior and one opening soon. Service is average at best. Order in which dishes were supposed to come out was terrible. A manager did not address table, but they bought us a drink. Nice gesture, hardly made up for it. Their reasoning for my entree coming out with apps was because kitchen wanted to close. Made me feel like I was at McDonalds or something, which is ironically next door. This place takes care of its regulars Ive been told. Guess you have to earn good service. Ive eaten multiple times here and at other location, Ill come back for the food definitely. Potato gnocchi is awesome.

Ive been once before with my husband and the food was excellent and we were treated well. When my friends were planning a bachelorette party I convinced them Zaza was the place. We called ahead and they said they didnt take reservations but we could wait at the bar until one was available. Well, when we arrived the woman was extremely rude. She said she didnt have tables for 8 but she had four tables for four. Needless to say we didnt eat there. This is just unacceptable. How could they refuse our business? Its the hospitality industry! I wont be recommending this restaurant to anyone again.

Very nice atmosphere. Great decor. The space is lit by low-lit red chandeliers and candles. The atmosphere was nice, but noisy. Food came out relatively quickly, but wasnt hot. The staff was not the most welcoming. The food was creative. The brussels sprouts were done really well and the bolognese was very good. The goat cheese cakes were not very exciting unfortunately. I would definitely go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

Love love love the food here. I have both eaten in and ordered from Uber eats from them. In the summer I like to sit in the back patio area. You really only have a view of the parking lot but you get to soak up the sun. They have a respectable wine list. Some of their servers are pretty poor but at least they are nice. Food is Italian themed. I live the Burata and the sweet potato gnocchi. Their pizza and salads are outstanding as well.

Apparently seating a group is an industry secret that this place hasnt learned. After calling ahead to ensure that they would be able to accommodate a large table, my group of friends and I were rudely turned away by the hostess. Rudely would actually be an understatement here (when i politely asked for a table, the hostess laughed and just said "no"). Ill never try to eat here again and wont be recommending it to anyone either.

Terrible service, Rose the mgr was very rude to us when we inquired on if we could sit at an open table. We were a party of 3 and there were three tables for 2 next to each other...so we asked if we could put two together and it's just that they couldn't do it but she relied to my wife in a very condescending manner. Food was good but manager who seats people is very rude so watch out, we will not be going there again.

The seating is New York City tight if you are into that thing. The food is okay. The mimosa thing that everybody is doing now for brunch is fair. Its actually kind of better because the service is excellent. The service is really good. No attitudes. Amazing. They just need to tweak that menu a little. Its serviceable and there are pretty faces in the crowd. Not so bad, ey?

First time here, thought the food, ambiance and service was great! We shared 3 pizzas among the four of us and each was delicious. Only criticisms were that the salad that we also had, needed a more flavorful dressing, and the chocolate molten dessert had a minuscule scoop of ice cream. Even with that, it was an overall nice experience and we will definitely go back again.

Just reading the other reviews I felt I had to comment that this is my favorite place for lunch in Stamford for the price. Everyone at my work loves this place. The people writing the other reviews are disgruntled employees or have personal issues with the people here. Food is fantastic. Pick anything on the menu and it is fresh and well prepared and the service is great.

Zaza is fun and unencumbered, it doesnt take itself seriously ,but it serves serious Italian fare. My favorite is the chicken scarpariello (ask for it extra spicy). From the owners to the bus boys, everyone is friendly and they know why: ask for a dish and you wont leave disappointed. For drinks , try the white sangria, but careful it packs a punch. I love this place

My family came here for my sisters first real meal after competing in a bodybuilding competition and we were expecting it to be something great after reading some reviews but we werent wowed. Some of the order was incorrect, the portion sizes were upsetting, and the staff took forever to retrieve our food when we were the only ones in the place!

The other reviews sound like disgruntled employees. Ive been to Zaza twice and the food is fantastic. The fresh mozzarella is amazing, the dishes are great, and the vibe and decor are really nice. I love the tapas style dining. For the quality of food, the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a nice spot to check out.

I was excited to try Zaza after a coworker recommended it. I am here on business and word of mouth is the best form of marketing. However, after our table was given away twice without an apology I was naturally frustrated. After over an hours wait the manager did nothing for the inconvenience. I would not return.

Dont even try to go with a group, you will be rudely turned away. No worries though, the Italian place next door is good, and willing to accommodate customers. Never eating at Zaza, certainly never recommending it either. If it was possible to give zero stars on a review, Id be using that option here.

Great Italian food. I had 2-hour unlimited cocktail which was pretty awesome. Roasted Brussels sprouts and mussels marinara sauce were very delicious! Linguini with clams was awesome too. Tried French toast today. It was great! Everything at Zaza is so awesome!
