Lucia offers hands down the best food for many miles around. The chef is italian and he knows his stuff. Its a small, pleasant restaurant with food worth twice what you pay for it. the soup and salads are great. The pasta melts in your mouth; the sauce with any of the pasta dishes is unlike anything else ive had. The entrees are unbelievable, all of them, filling and sizable yet hard to not finish. the desserts are for the most part made in the restaurant or locally, and all of them are delicious (get the creme brulee if youve ever enjoyed one). Theres a full wet bar of course, a couple italian beers, a decent sized wine list, and some very drinkable and affordable house wines. The service and food are fast and more than agreeable. eat here.

Decided to visit Lucia last weekend after reading great reviews. They seemed very nice at first and seated us on time (we had a group of 4). Well, it went down hill from there. Our waiter was overly serious and never cracked a smile. He would disappear for lengthy amounts of time and belive me its not a big place. A table of two next to us had their desert before we even had our dinners. It was obvious the food had been sitting since it was no longer hot but barely warm. We didnt order desert since we had enough of our grumpy waiter. The food was just ok (I had the 3 pasta dish). We wont be going back.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the entire Candlewood Valley area. My husband and I live in Hamden and frequent this restaurant despite the commute. Well worth the price and the travel for us. Delicious food, friendly family-like staff and a seriously wonderful owner. The man has such passion for his business! They recently opened a second floor and have added more tables and a second indoor bar, when the weather is warm they have an outdoor patio area that is simply adorable. My mom introduced us to this place a few years ago as she was a regular there, we love it and wish them continued success!

Lucia, is a romantic little ristorante in New Milford CT. If youre looking for homemade pasta and traditional Italian food this is a great little place to have that special night out. The black pasta with sea bass is YUMMY. I looking forward to sharing this place with my son and his girlfriend celebrating birthdays.

Very much enjoyed our evening out at Ristorante Lucia. We ate at one of the tables outside on Bank St - a perfect night for it! Only somewhat negative was being asked about 50 times by the waitstaff if we were ok. Better than no attention at all, but... Would definitely dine there again.

Ive been here 3 times. Great salads and tartare. BUT all 3 times the pasta was over cooked?!? In an Italian restaurant? Go for a lite meal and a martini.
