GLASS IN THE FOOD!!! Me and my girlfriends went there the other night. The food was pretty good - no complaints there. The problem was that we ordered cappuccinos and they came out and one of the cups was huge and the others were tiny. When asked why this was the waitress said "Oh, we just use whatever size cup that is available" - A little weird to order the same thing and get grossly different ammounts? THEN we ordered dessert and things went from bad to worse! My friend ordered gellato and felt something funny in her mouth which she thought was chunks of ice but what turned out to be SLIVERS OF GLASS!!! She couldnt believe it and called over the waitress who had this attitude like "what do you want me to do about it? No harm no foul" We had the manager come over and he looked like a busboy they pulled out of the kitchen and asked to act as a manager to take the complaint which is what Im sure the situation was and he took the same attitude...what would have happened if she had swallowed the glass and had her intestines cut up? "Oh well?" They took the glass riddled gellato and the cappuccinos off of our bill but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I am never going back and they are lucky that we didnt call the health department!

We order from Capricio pretty often. The following items are my favorite! Gamberi Avocado Panini: It has shrimp, crispy bacon and avocado. It was so good. The best Panini in Stamford. I highly recommend. Estiva Salads: I ordered the salads by accident because I didnt know it has goat cheese. I dont eat goat cheese. For this I am giving a five-star because it totally changed my feeling for goat cheese. It was good and fresh. Now I like goat cheese!! I ordered the same salads few times since I first tried it. I just wish its bigger portion. I also like their Prosciutto and shrimp. So fresh!!

I have been going to Capriccio for past 7 yrs and I always had good experience but lately the service is going down. I went on Wednesday around 5pm and beside my friend and me, there was just one lady outside. The two waiters were so busy talking to themselves, they never noticed us even when we including the lady in another table. We waited for 15 mins then I went to them and asked for the menus and told them that other lady was also trying to get some service. The quality of food has also gone down! I will not be going there as often I use to like before.

Absolutely horrible service. The waiter was talking about how slow it was during the day and complaining bitterly BUT it took almost an hour for us to get our food. Then when I gave the waiter my credit card, I didnt get it back for another 10 minutes...sketchy! I wouldnt recommend anyone giving this place even a second glance, as the service is horrible, the staff is rude and unaccomodating and the atmosphere is just not that great. Oh and not to mention, the food sucked.

The ambiance of the location is good if youre looking to eat outdoors and its a nice day outside, even though the seating area is only a few feet from the street. The food was ok but I was surprised to see most of the pasta items are only pasta and sauce. I found that disheartening since I really wanted some grilled chicken mixed in. It may be more "authentic" that way, but I dont generally eat pasta on its own.

Overpriced for Small Portions..but decent food and atmosphere. Gets very hot and uncomfortable in the summer as the owner doesnt like to use the a/c even on hot nights. Yea, and like the other reviewer said, get ready to correct your waiter until the order is right..even after waiting more than 45 mins.

Terrible food and even more terrible service. Waited 45 mins just for the salads and the waiter didnt even bother to show up at the table during all that time. Dont waste your time and money on that place. If they didnt have the outside seating area they would be out of business long ago.

Authentic Italian in Stamford. I visit the East Coast frequently, and when Im in Stamford, CT, I also go here. Its a touch of Italy right in Connecticut. I love their pasta, and after a great meal, dont miss their coffees. I am a coffee nut, and their cappuccino is NOT to be missed.

Nice little place if it is warm enough to sit outside. European Italian portions, not the American style where you take home enough leftovers for your fat uncle. Sandwiches and pastas are all good. I was very impressed with the crab cake app.

My favorite dish is the Cappriciosa. Its delicious! It has outdoor space with a great vibe. The issue with this place is they are slow with their service. A few drinks came out to our table way before a soft drink one of my friends ordered

Great atmosphere especially in the summer time. The outdoor eating area feels very Manhattan like. The food is always good and the prices are reasonable. I cant think of Amy negatives about service. Nice place to enjoy a nice night.

Love this place. My fiance and I go here all the time. Although the last time we went (6/1/17) they didnt offer gluten free pasta which was a huge bummer considering thats one of the biggest reasons we go due to a gluten allergy.

Pasta and apps are good. Wine is good, but portions are on the small size. Its nice to eat outside, but its next to a busy road, so pollution. Maybe cleaning up the outside even more might be good.

This is as close to athentic Italian atmosphere and great Italian food! Yummy Buffalo Rings and excellant pizza! Love it there, have been going there for at least 8 years, never a disappointment!

Good menu, great atmosphere, terrible staff. Expect to wait for your food and correct your waiter/waitress. On two occasions, we got the wrong check, or the check had items we did not order.

Love the fresh paninis and outdoor seating - sit closer to the building though so you dont get a stinky truck stopped at the light in front of you.
