Prego! Thats thank you, what a great gem to find in Stamford. Ive been here 3 times within the last month. The foods delicious and their menu gives you extensive options depending on what you might be in the mood for. Ive had their signature gnact gnact penne- phenomenal and left me wanting more (even tho I was stuffed). The lamb ossobucco is extremely tender and cooked to perfection. The duck has so much flavor packed per bite. Appetizers are great - all time favorite- burrata. There mozzerella is so SOFT, creamy, & refreshing. Im also a big fan of the mussels, get some extra bread, the sauce is double dip worthy! By far favorite restaurant in Stamford - worth noting the amazing house wines on the menu (order while you wait) Will be back again soon !

Cafe Silvium is an outstanding Italian restaurant located on Shippan Avenue in Stamford. Another reviewer identified it as a hidden gem. I would have to agree with that assessment. In regards to the menu, you really cant miss on anything. The cold antipasto platter is delicious and enough food to feed your entire party. My personal favorite entree is the Rigatoni Gnact Gnact. It is served in a vodka sauce with Prosciutto, Pancetta and Sausage. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate lava cake. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant has become quite popular. You can only reserve a table for a party of 5 or more on Fridays and Saturdays. Otherwise, you will need to wait for a table. No worries though. It is well worth the wait.

Parting the red sauce sea of mediocrity in the Fairfield county Southern Italian dining scene Cafe Silvium is a breath of fresh Pugliese air. The house-made pastas here never disappoint. After perusing the long list of tempting specials my entire family usually succumbs to the charms of the baked orrechiete casserole studded with the tiniest of meatballs and covered in a blanket of cheese. Despite being born without a sweet tooth I cant resist ending every meal with their zuppa Inglese, a classic crossbreeding of a British trifle with a tiramisu.

This place use to be good until the owner decided that money was more important than quality. The last time we went there it felt like a fast food joint. They threw the food on the table and kept wanting to take it away before we were finished. I ordered the same meal as the time before, but it wasnt the same. It was lousy. The wine the owner recommended was gut rot. We will never go there again.

You better come early, or be prepared to wait 40 minutes to be seated. This little restaurant is a genuine Italian culinary retreat in Stamford. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm, and the tables go fast. Though the meals are pricey, they are well worth the money. Its clear that the chefs know what makes food great, and they do an amazing job.

Ate at this wonderful restaurant last night with dear friends who are regulars there. This was without a doubt in the top 3 meals we have had in Stamford since we moved here over 4 years ago. This place is the real deal. Not one thing place on our table was less than exceptional... from scallops to stuffed quail to pasta to dessert. WONDERFUL.

I went to Capital Grille on a Saturday evening. It was very crowded so I would recommend making a reservation. My date and I opted to eat in the bar area where Adam was an excellent bar tender. I had the Sliced Filet Oscar with Lump Crab and Béarnaise? Delicious is and understatement. The steak was cooked to perfection.

“Retirement Celebration” I hosted a Lunch for my Brother and spouse here and want to thank everyone at the Restaurant for a fine time. Our server, Pamela M. handled all requests promptly and made my Brother feel special. The food, drink and champagne toast were 5 star. I cannot wait to revisit this classy place.

We recently visited the Capitol Grille to celebrate our daughters 21st Birthday. When we arrived to our table there was a special Birthday card which had been signed by all the employees and the chef. Quaint little candies had also been placed at her place setting; already making her feel that more special!

Great Italian comfort food with homemade pasta options. A huge menu which is a challenge to do well but they pull it off - everything Ive had has been good. Great take-out option as well. Reservations are a pain to get during busy times so be ready for an early (5:30) or late (9:00) dinner.

If only you could give 6 stars. My wife born and raised in Italy cant stand italian restaurants. This is one of the only exceptions. Incredible quality and authenticity for surprisingly reasonable prices. It does get busy and you will wait during popular tims but, its absolutely worth it

Awesome service and food. My girlfriend has a gluten and dairy allergy and they accommodated us with no problems. Their gluten free pasta was amazing. You can tell they care about their customers. Absolutely great place and great price.

The staff is very friendly and inviting. They were wonderful. The place is small so if youre thinking of going for dinner its best to make a reservation. I went for lunch and had the Prime Rib Lasagna. It was fantastic!!

The food, wine and service was fantastic. A little loud however. Monday night was the first time there, but definitely not the last; very reasonably priced. A four and a half stars out of five-star..

We always enjoy Cafe Silvium, with its excellent food at value prices and a friendly, upbeat atmosphere. Its always full at dinner time, so make reservations if there are less than 5 in your party.
