1) it smelt like an old basement 2) the furniture and walls were out dated (I know of the older feel) however the couches couldve been replaced 3) the service was terrible and the waiter was rude and his dress was definitely not presentable 4) Again he was rude and commented about my friends and I about being on our cell phones meanwhile We were posting on social media providing the coffeehouse with free advertising.... 5) also, the tip was included with the bill which in fact could happen since it was not a quite small party however like most services the tip being the consumers choice of graditude not automatically add it to the bill. 6) overall this was one of the worst food service experience Ive ever dealt with

Pros. Food and drinks were great. Great selection of desserts and specialty coffees. Open as late as the bars. No age limit. The beautiful paintings that decorate the walls are from local artists that can be purchased. Cons. Crowded! Since its open late and there is no age limit, lots of teenagers were there. We waited 30 mins for a table for 2. The live music was very loud. The staff wore normal street clothes so you couldnt differentiate who was an emploee.

The Cup has a great drink menu, including coffee, iced teas, hot chocolate and lattes. They have a nice dessert selection and a small food menu. The atmosphere is great for hanging out or even a date. Only downside is its usually busy and finding parking is a pain. Otherwise would definitely recommend for someone who wants a laid back atmosphere and casual dining.

The Cups pretty cool. Drinks are good. Foods pretty lacking even if there is no formal kitchen. The seating is...inconsistent and just awkward. Almost every time we come there happens to be an open-mic with some very strange "acts". Sorta ruin what could be a decent atmosphere. Caused us to move our caffeine-fueled business elsewhere.

Tea was good, but it took over an hour and a half to get a slice of cheesecake. The first time we asked how long, the waitress insisted it was brought out 5 minutes ago. When we asked again, they said they were "making" it. We waited another 20 minutes before the food finally came out. Would not return here.

This place feels like a garage sale, this isnt a "rustic" look as they might say. Ripped up couches, low beat up coffee tables with ripped carpet under the table glass. It seems like Im at my friends basement about to light up. Overpriced drinks and food for the comfort and effort they put on the table.

they gave themselves a tip on my debit card even though i left $7 cash on the table for a $30 bill. i did not authorize the extra $4 they charged me on my card. so when dining here, use cash or make sure you cross out the tip line and write in the the total line so they cannot fill it in themselves.

Moved us to three different sofas... when the box brownie came out, the ice cream was a sludge. Then the "chocolate covered banana" coffee was just coffee with some banana flavoring and lots of ice... it was just a terrible experience. They need better food, coffee and servers... desperately

One of the only two coffee/tea/cafes on Long Island you should ever go to-the other being the Witches Brew. Less selection of teas than Witches Brew, but much better selection of food and other drinks for the non-vegans. Hippie/punk ambiance. Get the very blue drink on the menu.

Ive been going to The Cup for many years and it never disappoints. I always have trouble deciding what I want because everything is so good! Very cozy environment, great to hang out and catch up with a friend or a group. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Love this place!

Employees here are terrible, act like youre bothering them, they dont put your orders in and then you wait an hour for food and it wasnt even that crowded. The owners should really think about whos representing their establishment.

The list of drinks is extensive and my drink tasted amazing but wasnt hot by the time it was brought to the table. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time but the food came almost 45 minutes after the drinks did

I love this place. Its similar to the witches brew, only slightly less gothy. They usually have live music as well. The coffee selection and tea selections are not limited! Best coffee flavor is the nutty Irishman!

This is such a cute place. Very hipster. There are games that you can play while waiting for food and the atmosphere is overall laid back. If you go during a peak hour be ready to wait forever for a seat though...

The best espresso on Long Island. a chill, artsy interior and a charming staff that makes you feel like staying forever. Between the board games, live music, and menu, theres always something awesome at The Cup.

Atmosphere was very nice. Live music is always a plus. The wait is incredibly long, though. The drinks and food are alright, the Apple pie a la mode was the best tasting item on the menu, in my opinion.

Ahhh I love this place! The wait is much less than the witches brew, still a little long though. Great vibes and good food and drinks. I just wish I knew where to get the board games from!

Really relaxed and excellent tea shop. Its a trendy local place to get caffeinated, hang out with some friends, or take a first date. The Cup is the perfect balance of intimate and fun.

A little on the pricier side and sometimes the service is hard to flag down. Otherwise good, but dont go during peak times because its uncomfortably packed and not a good time

Amazing little spot. Great service. Young crowd. The employees are all young and are very fast paced. Amazing environment with outdoor seating in summers.

Always a good time at the Cup, especially when Ben Pinnola and the Fresh Tones are playing their special style of jazz.
