Was just in there tonight , ordered the chicken fajitas for two , as regulars we always order the fajitas and its just proportioned right for my husband and I but last time we were there it was less chicken and more onions and peppers, it was a. Yay night and we figured that things were hectic in the kitchen so we just ate what we had and let it go, so this evening was dead around 8::30 and we got really NO chicken and so much onions and peppers that you had to literally go fishing for a piece of chicken! :( So we unfortunately told the very polite waitress and they had brought over a small dish of chicken to add to our 27.00 onions and peppers plate ... then as I was starting to eat I found a hair in my plate ( witch is grouse) but does happen :( My problem tonight was not the hair but that you would think that the owner walking by very unprofessional and just looking at our plate.. you would think that she would come by and apologize or something!!! I being a guest paying to come into your home and not having a pleasant experience with the food you have served would at least say something!!! WARNING under new management by a woman / owner who does NOT care about her guests and there experience there is such a shame!!! Will not return in the southington ct restaurant until she is gone! She should be fired if she was not an owner! Place is so much better and busier when shes not there! Awful experience!!!!! ( waitstaff are amazing and excellent they should get a raise for just being around that awful boss lady)

Staff was very nice. The food is way too expensive for what you are getting. The average item off the menu was $15 dollars and paired with refried beans and rice. There is a reason why there are no pictures on the menu. The refried beans were soupy and topped with goverment cheese, the rice is bland, the salsa was watery, and the guacamole made at the table was the worst tasting I ever had and texture was very chunky with rubbery bits of avocado. The guacamole served with the meal was better. For two adults one teen and a child it was $80 no liquor. The child dish was the best looking it being chicken fingers and fries. Everything else looked and smelled terrible. I was very disappointed with this last experience there.

Had an early dinner there yesterday. Its a nice enough restaurant. Service was fast and friendly-- they had drinks on our table almost as soon as we sat down. Chips and salsa were excellent-- tasted fresh cilantro. The food, however, was "meh". We have Fajitas Armando for two. It might have been good by Connecticut standards, but having just moved here from Texas, I found the meat and seasoning to be utterly lacking. The meat tasted more like a stir-fry marinade and did not look or taste grilled, either. Probably too much soy sauce in the marinade, not enough citrus/lime. The tortillas also seemed store-bought instead of fresh. All in all, was a bit disappointed.

The atmosphere, drinks, and service were above average here, however, the food is sloppy, bland, and basically fast food quality. Ive had better Mexican food off a roadside stand. This is voted one of the best Mexican places in Hartford, which is depressing -- one of their specialties, the table-side guacamole, lacked any lime or zest, it was the most boring, staid guacamole Ive ever tasted. The options for vegetarians here are few, which is strange, considering actual Mexican food is very vegetarian friendly. This is a lazy, Americanized pass at Mexican food, but still, probably the best one can get in the area.

Please ignore all the negative reviews about too expensive or about bad guacamole or bad service. This place is a regular spot for me and the fam. The food is great with affordable prices the portions are good compared to other places. The guac is banging. And our bill is usually 50-65 for 4 people with the guac and drinks included. The service is great I have not had a bad experience in all the years weve gone there. And no this is not a fake review. I am an actual customer that loves this place ALOT they havent stayed open all these years for nothing.

This food is outstanding. I have never gone wrong in this place. I order carne azada and love it every time. Even their specials are outstanding. They have the traditional less pricey food that teenagers and college kids love and then the dinners that are to die for. There is a bar that attracts the "happy hour" crew but they also make famillies with children very welcome. The wait staff is very attentive and polite.

Had a good time, the atmosphere was relaxing, service we had was very good, drink refills and chip refills were on point. Order was taken fast and food delivery was slightly bogged down with the amount of people on this busy night but the staff was hustling to make sure everyone was taken care of as best as possible. I would definitely recommend this place. 4 out of 5 for me!

Poor service. Waited 20 minutes before even getting a drink. The guacemoli wasnt very good, too much onion and no garlic. The waitresses never acnoleged our tabel. They just walled down the isle fast. This sounds normal for rush hour but it was dead. Only 3 other tabels were taken. Please dont give them your business. Noodles and company next door is much better

Great restaurant! Fresh complimentary chips, and be sure to ask for their trio of salsas to go with them. Portions are huge, food is fresh, and they serve both authentic and all the "American" favorites. Service is fast and friendly, and occassionally you might get to hear a live Mariachi band... Best Mexican restaurant around in CT for this "gringa".

The waiter was extremely attentive and the food was awesome. The chili con queso was unlike any queso I have ever had, but it was wonderful. The chili rellenos were second to none. The staff was vaccuming at 7PM on a Sunday night, but even that didnt detract from the great food and excellent service. A+++

I come with my family twice a month. The service has been nothing but superb, with all of the staff glancing at tables as they walk by and grabbing dishes as theyre finished. Whether the place is packed or almost empty, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. Really excellent place for Mexican food.

Friendly staff, huge portions and an authentic feel! Be sure to get the tableside guacamole to start. Ive never had a problem here and the staff make you feel like family. Some of the dishes seemed a little bland but theres enough variety that Ive found plenty of things to like.
