If you are looking for the type of bakeries that used to be in every town, baked goods made from scratch and friendly people then go to The Bakery in Southbury, CT. From cakes (the carrot cake is to die for), to pies, to breads, cookies, doughnuts (the REAL thing made from scratch daily), to assorted pastries. This place is hard to match. And they are happy to take special orders. Try one of their kettle doughtnuts, yummy, dont miss out!

Theyre the most awesome people around. They make the best goodies this side of the Pacific ocean. The pastry chef is quick and pleasant. The manager is helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. They even have their own cool cop that works for them. Way cool place. The in people buy their doughnuts there. Dummies go to DDs. LOL!

The Bakery is great. I have been buying Cinnamon bread from this bakery for the past three years. The staff are great. The last time I bought products which I dont like from them, but to my amazement the staff made amends today by giving me all items purchased today free.

Awesome bakery! The cinnamon raisen pastry is so good, but it sells out fast so get there early lol. Their made to order cakes are incredibly delicious. Everything they make is homemade and much better tasting than the junk you buy at the supermarket.
