I am a previous employee. The cashiers do not have any clue how to speak to the food making people. So do not be surprised if you are told something is available and then they are out of it. They are always out of bread and bread bowls so dont plan on getting any if you come in late. The soup is all fake. It comes in frozen bags. But overall they are very clean behind the scenes and do not take uncleanliness lightly. The dining area may seem small and at times dirty but that is only because they do such a high volume of business and they have not been updted in numerous years. The lines will be longer than most paneras because of their extremely high amount of customers so you will have to deal with it. I quit about a month ago after I was fed up with the quality of the job. From a working standpoint this is the worst job Ive ever been a part of. They ask tasks to be done that have absolutely no logical reason of being done as frequently as they do. They pay poorly for the ridiculous amount of work they ask for and because of this they lose many employees who feel the same way.

I went to Panera Bread this morning to get a bagle and a tea. I found that they have a new system for preparing pastry orders which makes for an extreamly long wait time. Before the cashier would quickly get your pastry order and you were on your way. Now you have to wait in the line were all food is prepared. I waited over 15 minutes to get a simple bagle. I will never go back to this Panera Bread again. Be prepared to wait a long time if you visit this Panera Bread in Southbury, CT.

The quality of this panera is the worst of all in the area. I ordered a takeout salad with chicken. I get it home after a 15 min. Drive and find it has no chicken and rotten cucumbers. Not the first time this panera has gotten orders wrong and poor quality but last time i will go there.

I travel 85% of the month and Panera is a go to staple because I know I can still eat healthy on the road. This one was typical with the food which is the subject of their business but the customer service lacks severely. They arent rude just not the Panera polite I am accustomed to.

Location specific review: this place is a mess. Came for lunch on a Wednesday at 1:30 and nearly every table was dirty, trash and crumbs strewn all over, bathroom was a wreck. Disappointed, I expect relatively uniform experiences at Panera and this one needs to step up its game.

The Angus steak sandwich was delicious and, combined with the chicken noodle soup, a fine warming meal on a chilly rainy day. Pretty typical Panera Bread, but I like the chain. The cinnamon scone for dessert was also very tasty!

I have always had a good experience here. The food is delicious and it has a friendly atmosphere that is relatively quiet. It is a great place to bring your computer and get some work done if your not a coffee shop person.
