Wed been going to the Early Bird since the original cafe -- next to the old Blockbuster, about 15 or more years ago. We moved away but moved back and year or so ago and have been to the "new"cafe a few times. On each occasion, the service has been glaringly lax and reluctant and while we were waiting for service, we noticed waitresses consistently talking among themselves or to customers. On each -- about five occasions -- at least one item we ordered never arrived. Last time it was lemon for my tea and an order of fruit for my son. In addition, I overheard two women from the next table commenting on how "awful" the service was. When I approached the owner/manager, she was so hostile and sarcastic that we just decided never to return. Im a writer and Ive written restaurant reviews among other reviews over the years. I can only say that this restaurant clearly needs a new manager!

I moved to the area not too long ago, with much talk about the EARLY BIRD, i decided to go check it out myself. With little suprise, all the talk was true.. .The Early Bird had delicious dishes with a great price tag. The service was uncomparable. VERY friendly waitstaff , organized, clean, and just an all around amazing atmosphere!! i highly recommend this eatery to anyone who wants to enjoy REAL home styled cooked food! I not only had breakfast and LUNCH but i decided to try out their DINNER menu. Purely remarkable!!! I honestly shouldnt have been that suprised to have such a variety with such taste at the Early Bird. ENJOY A FRIENDLY FACE WITH AMAZING TASTE!!

I been going to this place for 20 years and lets just say all good things come to an end. Back in the day it was the go to place for me and my family. Now the people that are making the food dont care the food is a mess on the plate. Low quality bacon thats cheep and paper thin, omelette flat no air no lift. Its sad the Staff looks great I wish the food dose..... I told the staff the way I feel the last time I was there. This was the last shot.. Sorry to say Im done with the place. I hope this review drives them to change. I wish them well........

Wonderful place. Food is quite tasty with a ton of great choices. Everyone who works here is always really friendly and helpful. My family and I have been coming weekly for 2+ years now and brunch at the counter at Early Bird (or "Autumns Restaurant" as my little girl calls it after one of the waitresses) is a mainstay of any good weekend. A classic small town diner with good food and good people.

We visit this little place every year when Im in town. Weve been going for years, since my son was very little. He called it "the place with the chickens". Its tradition now that we take my sweet little Grandma and Grandfather to the Early Bird Cafe for a late night dinner every summer. Its a nice, cozy, family place with friendly staff and warm atmosphere. We love it.

One of the best breakfast places for Ridgefield. I love their breakfast dishes but 3 things stand out for me. (1) they make the best grits. (2) they serve Truvia, the better alternate sweetner than the others and (3) their coffee is very tasty. Sometimes its hard you find good coffee at a restaurant.

They offer great breakfasts; gluten free toast, healthy quinoa cereal bowls with fruit, salmon spinach omelettes with smoked salmon on top, and more. Ive heard dinner menus age delicious and healthy. Friendly staff. Sunday mornings are busy, may have to wait 10 minutes for a table but its worth it.

Adequate and sometimes disappointing food. The staff is mixed and would avoid the thin tall waitress who is rude and not very smart. She has messed up our order several times and does not appear happy working there. It seems she thinks she is too good for her job.

This is by far our families favorite place for breakfast and lunch. They even hung my daughters picture up and she saw it today and was so happy. I JUST FOUND OUT THEY ARE OPEN DINNERS NOW. Ill never need to cook again
