I dont like to give poor reviews, so I will start by saying that this place is situated in a very nice and cozy neighborhood. The place looks clean and pretty much organized. Now lets get to the subject: 1. Sunday brunch buffet- nice idea but when you do a buffet you need to make sure that someone is checking the freshness/quality of the food not just the quantity. 2. Eggs Benedict- a classic dish- you do it right or you dont do it! What I mean with this is that egg Benedict should be POACHED EGGS!!! Not HARD BOILED EGGS. 3. The Hollandaise sauce it should be an emulsion of egg yolk and butter season with lemon juice not a cold crust of butter. 4. Service was ok with one exception: the waiter just wanted to make sure that hes charging the extra mimosa that I didnt drink it...by the way - they are including a mimosa or a Bloody Mary in the buffet price.- so someone else from our table had an extra mimosa and the guy put it on my bill. Im not sure if I will go back again and Im not sure if I will take my friends over or recommend them to go there.

Since changing ownership last year, this place has become so great. The menu is a lot simpler, but so delicious! and the vibe of the place is really humming. I was pleased to come last week and found the place packed. There was live music in the tap room and the fireplaces made the whole place feel so welcoming. The new owners are also really creative and have been doing an Oktoberfest celebration on the weekend, Which is delicious and a ton of fun. Schaller and Weber sausage and an oom pah band!! I really hope they keep these promotions up, its a great place to bring the family on a weekend, and a great spot for a comforting meal during the week.

sorry i have to say this--i was there for your easter brunch--i found it very unorganized, it reminded me of my little daugthers littletea partys--the penny fores were tiny, the brownies were fine for little children-very cold pasta -roast beef for nothing but fat- egg benidicts were not tastety at all--I thought for the price I was rip off-there were no potatoes with the meat-very very disappointed sorry i took other people there= left there hungry ----- sorry

I was there for drinks and dinner last night with a group of friends. The staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. Happy hour cocktails were a nice surprise. The Caesar salad with blackened chicken was very tasty and a bargain. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal as much as I did mine. Sitting out on the large, recently updated patio was perfect on a warm summer night. All in all a very pleasant evening.

Stopped by for lunch. Blacked chicken sandwich was quite nice. As was the heart of palm salad. Butternut squash ravioli was fine... nice filling, but a but soupy (which helped to keep it warm, but did not help the flavor). Did not have desert. Service was ok. Remember enjoying it when we went for dinner some years back but dont remember what we had. Supposed to be a good Sunday brunch option.

My family and I love going to the Redding Roadhouse. Since it reopened we have been pleased with the up-tick in service. They did a great job adding to an already rustic and cozy establishment (new lower bar and upstairs pool table). We also love the new menu and great tap list! There really is nothing better then having dinner in front of the fireplace. We are glad to see it back.

This place is phenomenal! I live well over an hour from the Roadhouse but at any opportunity I make everyone go there! Food is fantastic and the ambiance cannot be beat. Moroccan Calamari is my personal favorite amongst the appetizers but you cannot go wrong with anything. Holidays and the all you can eat Sunday buffet brunch are a real treat as well.

This is a country inn in Fairfield County, but nobody told the new management. The staff is outfitted in long-sleeved tee shirts with a logos on them, which might be more fitting in a deli. Also, music and food were not fitting for the place. I wish someone with a serious restaurant background would take over this place. Very disappointing.

We have lived in Redding for 12 yrs now and the Roadhouse is our "safety" restaurant for anyone out of town. We love the live music for our date night and drinks and there menu is versatile enough for our kids ranging in age from 10-27. Not hip but safe and predictable.

It was late when I went in with my wife. We sat by the fire and had their lobster bisque and a drink. Service and food was very good. The bar was hopping but its away from the restaurant so noise isnt an issue. We will be back.

The food was really great. I had the calamari, hearts of palm salad and pork chops and it was all delicious! The service was great too, it was not slow at all. I have no complaints, I will definately go back.

Service was stupidly bad, food was mediocre and the price was high. So many better places to go, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

The food was so-so; the waitress was very apologetic about the fireplace ash that blew all over our table and gave us our drinks for free.
