Right after being seated for our 6:30 reservation on New Years Eve, we were informed that we had to be out by 8:30 because they had another reservation for our table. From that moment on we felt rushed and uncomfortable. Three of the six people in our group ordered the special that included a NY Strip. Each was informed that the Cottage does not cook their meat to the standard designation for temperature. If you want medium, pink with a warm center, you have to order medium-well, and if you want medium-rare, you have to order medium. Based on this information, one person requested her steak to be cooked well done. The waiter suggested that she get it medium-well, and they would recook it if it was not done enough. When the steak was served it was close to rare. Just curious as to why the Cottage cannot cook to the standard designations, and then deliver them as requested? One of the other NY Strips was so fatty that it could not be eaten. The restaurant agreed and took it off the bill. Perhaps it was just a busy night, but I was disappointed.

The chef is outstanding, but her mother is a shrew and her brother is a bully. Unfortunately, they overshadow Chef Pattys brilliant cuisine. I keep saying that the place should be on Kitchen Nightmares - not because of the food, but because of Dorothys and Daves miserable attitudes, and the outdated decor in the restaurant. However, be assured that Dorothy and Dave are nasty to everyone, so dont take it personally - just ignore them. In the meantime, go to The Cottage and enjoy a fantastic meal that you will surely never forget. The prices are not cheap, but the quality and portions make the cost worth while.

Wow. That one word is not enough to describe what a diamond in the rough this place is. Family owned and family run, it is fantastic. It is a little higher priced but the amount of food greatly outweighs the price spent. And the dessert, I highly recommend the strawberry shortcake. Those were fresh strawberry and the pound cake was still warm from the oven. I have to say, I was looking for the best place to have dinner and do believe I found it. Keep up the excellent work and if I am ever back this way, I will, without a doubt, come back!

Been here a few times with my wife. Last time I was there I had the pork chop dinner. It was amazing. Probably the best Ive ever had. Wife had the seasonal pizza special which she thought was great. Service was great. Its a family owned and operated business so theres a lot of pride. The decor could use some work but its really great food so I high recommend it.

Very welcoming restaurant and the food was creative and very tasty. The truffle fries were amazing and the New York strip was luscious. Major highlight is the homemade pasta which was delicious. The service was extremely friendly and accomodating, even the hostess. Highly recommend this place!

Creative menu as tasty as the description. The quinoa risotto was delightful - a great combination of flavored. The scrod special was fried but not heavy, although something lighter than French fries would have been a better accompaniment.

friendly staff, excellent menu offerings and fresh fare any night of the week. Always an unusually long wait for the food, though, 45 mins at least.
