This place is a hidden gem. I really didnt think much about the humble building off the main drag when I first pulled in but really needed a place to eat breakfast. I gotta say. When I entered it was surprisingly larger than I expected. There was a piano man playing away happily and the place was bustling with activity. I was seated promptly and ordered as well. The food came out fast and fresh. The portions are a very good size and the price is fair. The waitstaff are friendly and hard-working. Once thing I noticed that sets them apart from other restaurants is that the workers seem to work well as a team. One will deliver your food for example while the other takes your order. They seem to help each other out. Another thing that I like is it looks like an old fashioned book store inside. Books line the top shelves around the ceilings. Pretty unique... The only downside is that I would say that the hours are relatively short. Breakfast and lunch is served but not dinner as of this writing. I wish they would open for dinner, but with the amount of business they get, I dont think that they need to. I have been back several times since that first visit. Excellent in one word!

Absolutely disgusting. Will never be going back again ! I was watching the cook shove his face with food, pick his teeth then pick MY toast up and throw it on the plate. And then watched the waitress pick up the plate to come bring it to me. I was so disgusted, had her take the food away and left.

Super Service and food. Everyone at huxleys is always friendly efficient obliging and quick. I have had both lunch and breakfast many times and it has always been great. Their bacon is the best Ive had anywhere. If you are in the area you have to try this restaurant

Been here in Meriden for a year my first time there it was AWESOME! The food and service is so good. Loved the indoor decoration. Felt like I was in a movie. Try their burgers and Egg salad. So yummy!

A cute little diner with the standard fare. Nothing on the menu stacks out as particularly good or bad. Ive had good luck ordering from the specials. And theres a guy who plays piano which is cool.

Im always a fan of all day breakfast places. Last time I was here, they didnt skimp on quality. The prices are around the $10 range for meals so good for a nice breakfast out with the family.

Decent food but gonna pay for it. Meriden doesnt have any good breakfast spots anymore.I go to Waterbury for the same meal for 8 bucks and its 13.50 here with no drinks

Great cafe style breakfast. The Hungry man was loaded with food. I saw omelets served that were enormous. The fresh grilled muffins are tasty.
