Heres the good stuff--- Very clean, contemporary and appealing. Comfortable without being homey. Staff was quiet but inviting and polite. I ate Spicy Kani salad, a spicy salmon roll, and a tuna avocado roll. My fiancé had fried gyoza and General Tsos chicken. For the Kani salad, the spice was good. Subtle without overwhelming. Great ratio of cucumber to crab. Sprinkling of fish roe was just right. Dressing was perfect! Not soupy or drippy. Some of the best Ive had. Spicy salmon, not as spicy as Id like, in fact it was hardly spicy, but creamy tartare style, with toasted sesame outside for crunch. Tuna avocado was very good. Fish was soft, supple and fresh with great flavor, as was the avocado. Neither of the rolls NEEDED soy sauce, and my first bites I took without it to have a clean impression on the taste. Rolls are taller and cut in 6s instead of 8s. Gyoza was pork, and pan fried, so it wasnt as crunchy as deep frying it. The soy, ginger and garlic dipping sauce was good. General Tsos Chicken was nicely breaded, with white meat chicken. Sauce was sweet, not too spicy for his sensitive palette. And now, the cons--- Price point on Chinese food seemed too high to comparable locations, which is about $11 for General Tsos. If youre looking for sushi, prices are what youd expect for what you get. My huge beef was that they had the nerve to charge for refills on soft drinks without any mention of it at all on the menu or notified by staff. They fill the cup up with ice all the way, and you barely get 8oz of fluid. For the prices they charge on entrees, I feel that is a bit ridiculous. Feel free to disagree. We used to own a bar and café, so we know how much sodas worth. Overall, solid menu with good options, calm atmosphere, and good food. I would come here again, however now I know better about the soda. Ill get water from now on.
