My wife had gone there for a weekday business lunch and raved about it. We decided to try it for dinner and had a great time. The restaurant is on a quiet back street in Bridgeport, which makes it a little hard to find but also keeps the crowds down, perhaps. The facility has a mid-tier design: not fancy but not down market. We had grape leaves, lamb shish kebab, and baklava. The food was delicious - tender lamb with lots of almond rice and veggies. The grape leaves was actually more of a salad, as it included slices of tomato topped with a slice of cucumber and then a piece of feta cheese. My wife ordered a yogurt drink thinking it was like the indian lassi drink, but this is almost the consistency of milk and quite salty. Interesting, but not my taste. The baklava is enough for 2 (we ordered 2 servings, which was enough for 4!). No noisy music. Attentive and gracious waiter. Inexpensive and worth the trip.

Star of Istanbul was a little hard to find, but perseverance paid off. When I was seated, I realized that I was the only person in the restaurant, which surprised me a little, but I was certainly not disappointed. I ordered the Mixed Grill, and was delighted with the beef and chicken, but the Adana was the star of the plate! So much food that I couldnt eat it all, but I sure wanted to. It was really quite good, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. By the time I left, there were other diners in the restaurant and it had a nice, lively feel. Ill definitely be back.

I dont know if the standards of the restaurant has gone down over the years. But this has by far been the worst Turkish restaurants I have been to. The place was empty..the owner/chef was smoking cigar inside the kitchen which is totally wrong. We ordered chicken adana which felt like stale chunks of chicken and fries were still cold from the Costco or whatever wholesale freezer they bought it from. I dont mean for his business to go down, but hope the restaurant does a better job with the food. The reviews took me there, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

The food was delicious. I ate here yesterday. They even charge a service fee of $2. What I ordered was a chicken sandwich with french fries and beef adana plate with salad and rice with ayran.(turkish yogurt drink). To my knowledge I learned that they charge their tipping money also. The cashier told me people dont tip them anymore.

Good Turkish food, and very relaxed atmosphere and great food. Good hookah to, definitely be ready to talk to the waitress or chief, both are great people, five stars, but 4 because no one reads five star reviews. Also they let you smoke inside as long as your not disruptive.

Excellent food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Suggest the mixed appetizers, all of them delicious. The lamb kibob sandwich was tasty and came a nice salad. Prices are very reasonable and portions large. PS: save room for the baklava... yummy!

We enjoyed our meal. The Huevos Rancheros with rice and beans was good. Fast and friendly service. Unique breakfast menu with lots of options and good prices. Goodfellas exceeded my expectations.
