Andre the bartender was a delight, engaging, professional and friendly. The rest of our party arrived about 20 minutes later and once we were seated, our dining experience went downhill. We ordered 4 appetizers, party of 5, one of which was a bowl of clam chowder which was served lukewarm and was returned to be reheated. We had my dad with us who needs to eat plain food.n We asked if the stuffed flounder could be served without the stuffing and were told no. We were fine with that and understood. We then asked if the bronzini could be served with the greens on the side instead of on the greens and served plain. We were challenged by the waiter that we couldnt ask them to start changing the menu. When my husband and I both addressed the waiter that greens on the side was only changing how the food was plated, the waiter backed down. The waiter had a crappy attitude and was fortunate my husband paid the bill. Our water was refilled once in 2.5 hours. The food was ok, service below par and our overall take was we did not receive a value for our dining experience to match the final bill. We frequent Tellers and Verace and all of us were disappointed as our expectation of the usual quality and value was not met. We will not be returning to H2O.

What a huge disappointment today. Took my wife for her birthday to this spot we been going there for last 3 mons almost every Monday for lobster night. And its usually outstanding service and food. For some reason today a whole new staff never seen any of them before even the manger was new. We order our usual which 2 order of 2lbs lobster. Food was good service was horrible. They brought the peanut butter banana split without cleaning the table shells all over the table and our desert sitting in the middle. I mean common Man. Then when we get the desert it tasted different we address the issue to the manger which he was very rude and sarcastic about it and saying..ummm we been doing it the same way since day one ( well ....no you dont. Cuz you wasnt even there since day one) anyways what a waste of $150.. Bye H2O we will miss you

Its too bad that attention to detail and good service is whats going to make this place close. The bar service for dinner with Freddy was terrible. He only came by if I flagged him down. Twice our orders were wrong. The scallops werent all cooked to the same temperature. Nor were the sweet potato bites with it. The haddock bite appetizer were delicious as were the old bay fries and fig appetizer was amazing. Chillean sea bass cooked perfectly once it finally came out. The house made cheese cake was excellent and worth getting again. So what could have been an excellent meal was just ok, and certainly not worth the money as it was.

Was a bit disappointed at H2O in East Islip tonight. We sat at the back of the first floor. Every time they would wheel the service cart, the ground and our table would shake. Our drinks were watered down. Our empty salad dishes sat in front of us as the bus boy just look at them and walked away. Finally a manager took them. Dinner was good but at room temp. Again the dishes sat there as I even moved them to the side. Again the bus boy walked by and the manager picked them up. Other than that, the waitress was excellent. Smithtown location 10 times better.

The first time we came here I gave 5 stars, everything was excellent. The second time we came here the service was lacking. Waiting an hour for the appetizers, had to ask the bus to get our waitress to come over. Had to inquire about the entrées we finally got served 8:30 We sat down at 630. I removed one star, the food was good.

It was terrible. The food is over priced and it was barely warm when it came out. The service wasnt good either. The person working walked up to our table and grabbed my plate and didnt even ask me if I was finished so the waiter had to apologize. I would NOT recommend going to this restaurant. The place was empty and now I know why.

New place Very pricy although food was good Service is hit or miss Been there 3 times since I live locally Better atmosphere downstairs Upstairs feels like a cafeteria and the floor has plush carpeting! Strange for a restaurant ! Drinks are excellent and bar is very nice! Be prepared to spend at least $50-60 a head.

Service was great, so attive without being overbearing. We didnt have a reservation( they fit us in...oops!) But my huband and I had the best experience! Sushi was sooo fresh and the clams were excellent. I recommend the Tripe Threat roll. It has a kick! Ladies, have the jalepeno margarita...it wont disappoint.

We live in East Islip. First to the new H2O since Beachtree which we loved. Ok service, menu is geared for high profit. Our food was mediocre at best. Go elsewhere for seafood and sushi. Unfortunately we wont be going back.

The food is excellent! The service is excellent also. Ive been here for lunch and dinner and both times everything was amazing. The lobster thermidor is off the charts and the sushi is so fresh and yummy!

Filet Mignon Wellington and jumbo lump crab meat is off the charts. Restaurant is gorgeous. New and clean with a nice ambience. Slightly expensive but a great date spot.
