This is my first ever restaurant review, but I felt that my experience last night warranted it. My wife and I ate there last night for her birthday. The signage needs help, and when we walked in, nobody was there to greet us. In fact, we thought we were in the wrong place or it was closed. They apologized and said there should have been someone out there to seat us. First, decor: This is one of the most absolutely beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten in! I was wearing jeans and a sweater and was worried Id be kicked out. But we were fine, and there were other people in casual attire as well eating there. You have to see this place. Wow. Second, service: The waitress was friendly. Our only hiccup is that they brought us the second item (Krakow Special) instead of what I ordered...I forgot the name, the top menu item, called the "Grensk?" Anyway, she seemed to not believe me when I said we ordered the first item. We said all we wanted was to try the Kielbasa and Sauerkraut and that is why we ordered it. So she brought some out for us to have and apologized for the confusion, so we were happy. Also, the food came out quickly. Third, food: The food was delicious!! Polish food is mild by nature, and this was no exception. We had pierogies, potato pancakes, kielbasa and sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, and cheese-filled fried crepes (my favorite!). Everything was great, and the portion was perfect! I am writing this review to say that although there were a couple issues, they fixed them, and the food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this if you are looking for good food at a reasonable price. We were under $40 with my wife having wine with her meal. One final note: I read someone complain about the food, and yet they ordered calamari and salmon. This is a Polish restaurant! Order the polish food on the specials on the back of the menu.

I went with 5 other adults, 3 were locals, 3 were from out of state, around Christmas time. Let me start off by saying this - the food was delicious. However, the older woman waitress we had was TERRIBLE. It was just appalling how rude she was! We were all taken aback. My mother-in-law, said it was the rudest someone had ever been so close to her face, she was very upset! You could say she was partially to blame, as she had the "audacity" to ask where her side dish was when the woman was leaning over her to put down a plate - which is why the woman was so close to her face when she was so rude. I asked if I could get the jaeger sauce with my weiner schnitzel instead of just getting the jaeger schnitzel (the difference is the schitnzel would be breaded with sauce, opposed to unbreaded with sauce). She wide-mouthed stared at me in silence for a good 30 seconds as if I had just grown two heads. She acted like it was unheard of. Heres a tip about customer service, if you have never heard of something being done before and youre not sure if it can be done (which it totally could, just make some jaeger sauce, its already on the menu! The kitchen did this for me, seemingly without issue!) just calmly say "Ill have to check with the kitchen". This woman ruined our experience here...were still talking about how bad the service was. Its really unfortunate because the food was really good and the young adults who got us water and bread were very sweet, but it just isnt worth it to go back. I know I couldnt convince my family members to come back even if I tried. I suggest the owners/managers look up a book called "The Ultimate Question", and consider how this poor customer service must be affecting their business. Again, its unfortunate that the food is so good, but its just not enough to keep us coming back.

Went there with my parents (both from Poland) and my girlfriend. It is a quiet little restaurant that shares a building with The Whole Donut. Signs show that there is additional parking in back, but we just parked in front. The menu is fairly simple, but still has enough variety to cover pretty much any interest. Most items are around $10, and the four of us ate well for a little under $50. You can also place take out orders. Good food and service, but the atmosphere was a little too quiet for me. My mom is an excellent cook, so I have a clear bias of course, but I was still happy with the meal. I tried a little bit from everybody. I highly recommend their potato pancakes, cheese crepes, and potato and cheese pierogis. They have a combo platter that has all of these items in it, too (which is what my girlfriend had). I had their country ribs, and the texture of the meat and the sauce (a kind of gravy) were pretty good without being too heavy. My mom had their breaded chicken cutlet, which I think was very nicely seasoned. The only reason they did not get 5 stars from me was because of my dad. He got the stuffed cabbage (3 pc), and they were sorely lacking in flavor. Besides being bland, they were fine though. I will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu. It is nice to know where to find decent polish food without going to my parents, and I just have to try their blueberry pierogis!

I have been there a few times in the past and the food was better than my last 3 times. The food takes forever and has often been cold. The host was rude and texted on his phone istead of seating us right away. The waitress was very pleasant and did make the meal more enjoyable ( her name was Brittany or Brianna I believe, I would only go back when she is working) Even when I have a bad experience I try to get back a few times to see if they kitchen was just having an off day or something. The soups are very salty, and the globki sauce is rather bland. The periogi are good but they run out of them too often. I understand they are made by hand but I still dont think there has ever been a time that they didnt tell me they were out of atleast one kind. Overall, the food is so-so. You wont die from it, but its nothing special to keep coming back for. I have been maybe 10 times over the last 2 years. and usually its with co workers for lunch.....

Grand almost intimidating and pompous interior - definitely feels like a special event venue, not a restaurant. Service was casual and not extremely attentive although at that point we were one of the few tables there. It felt like the waiter was preoccupied with something else. Food was good, very filling. Pictured are bygos, guliash and "cepelinai" - potato dumplings. As an eastern european I was a little confused when the dumplings came out with a side of broccoli - very unusual. Star taken off for the lack of enthusiasm by the waitstaff.

They moved from their Berlin location into a huge and classy building. The building is used for not only the restaurant but also for wedding parties. For the restaurant part, it was playing polish radio (nice touch) and was low lit and comfortable. The food was top notch, the golompki (stuffed cabbage) was perfect. The wait staff was attentive, helpful and very friendly. Without a doubt we will be returning, I see big things in this restaurants future!!!
